less gag, more performance art. The room started transforming during Pillow Jets. Also there was a phish disco rave during What's Going Through Your Mind
TnT at UNO, name a better duo. DUCKMOUTH how was the run? Only watched last night but the slot machine random song selection seemed to throw the flow off a bit sometimes.
Looks like Eggy dropped a 30 minute Terrapin cover last night. Excited to hear that. Saw some clips from other songs last night and looks like they were cooking
I can handle them a little bit but not a lot. I thought I knew what a wook was after seeing Phish and then the early ‘00 days of SCI, but then I went to a biscuits show.
biscuits fans were wild backj when I used to see them 99-02ish range. Small venues back in. Even played the Sigma Nu house at Ole Miss. lots of people in fairy wings back in those days
That show is still on Archive. Twas a good one You always see some tragic shit at biscuits shows with their fans but also the firemost jams. Just gotta take the good with the bad
Yeah, I was already into them and my buddy called me who was a Sigma Nu that year and was like hey man, that band you like is playing the house, come on up. It was an awesome show and they band didn’t hold back and did their thing instead of just play a fraternity party. Also had folks in fairy wings spun out wanting in that weren’t on the guest list just to come see the band and traveled. The fraternity was cool about it and let them fairy’s into groove. Love those shows from back then.
If you weren’t wearing glitter pants and fairy wings on cheese or biscuits tour during the early 2000s what were you even doing?
I went to a lot of those shows of those two back then. Never wore the wings or glitter pants though. Great times though
Fucking lawn full of hula hoopers, out of the dam way. I’m glad they didn’t have those fancy lighted hoops you see these days. Would have had a seizure.
Seeing SCI makes you realize there are clearly different brands of hippies. The suburban Stoner that listens to Phish in their Jeep Cherokee might as well be a preppy from Connecticut by their standards.
I feel seen, but I was a small town stoner with a Cherokee that made it to 250k miles before it blew up.
My first miracle was STS9 at the Tabernacle on 12/30/06 Spoiler the things people were doing in the parking lot for those NYE run tickets…
All of theirs are like that really. Not a single one I can’t put on start to finish. Besides live stuff, does everyone do more playlists or listen to albums? I lean way more towards albums and entire live shows, over any kind of playlists.
With that said. When you find an album that just hits from start to finish and song placement is perfect it’s a great experience. Up there with live shows. I just find those albums few and far between.
"Johnson has said he’s going for 'that feeling when you’re out in the woods and the acid just starts to kick in.'" https://relix.com/reviews/detail/rose-city-band-sol-y-sombra/ Nailed it.
Playlists if I want to venture into something new or different. Live shows specifically for artists I enjoy
For the Sonos guys https://www.theverge.com/sonos/606025/sonos-pinewood-video-player-features Looks pretty expensive for a streaming box, but one interesting feature Spoiler Pinewood also unlocks a capability that Sonos customers have been requesting for years: you’ll be able to configure a genuine surround sound system using the company’s other speakers. Instead of relying so heavily on a soundbar, you can create dedicated front left and right channels with, say, two Era 300s. This will allow for far more advanced Dolby Atmos setups, but Sonos is still finalizing exactly which speaker arrangements will be supported.
