They'll promote Pitcher to OC because that's been the plan for years. I'd prefer bringing in someone from outside the organization but they won't do that. I think Taylor sucks at play calling and has zero creativity, so I'd like someone new added to the offensive braintrust.
They'll do what Joe wants imo. They do have to interview an external minority candidate first though before hiring Pitcher if that's what the actual plan is, so I wouldn't expect an announcement until later in the week.
Pitcher is a no brainier. The real head scratching move (or non move, I guess) is bringing back Frank Pollack. All the money we've spent on the OL, and it's still abysmal.
I agree Pollack sucks and wish they'd fire him. Didn't know the Rooney rule applied to coordinators, thought it was just head coaches.
We’ll promote the ball boy to OL coach next. Pitcher might be the right guy for the job but we’re such a boring organization
Personally I don't think they should be paying 2 wr's $50 - $60 million. I'd rather spend that money elsewhere like OL and DL. Love Tee but the Bengals have shown to be much better at drafting wr's then OL and DL.
He should be traded while they can still get something more than a comp pick when he walks for free after next season. Especially in a year where there are so many good WR's in the 1st-2nd round range. But I fully expect them to, as always, do the safe/boring thing and hold on to him for one more season.
I'm still going to assume it's just people piling on a joke but it's fucking crazy how far this rumor has gotten and what kind of run it's getting.
The team doesn't want to pay Tee and Jamarr long term deals but people think they'll pay even more money to Jamar and Jefferson? God the internet is dumb.
Their marketing worked because now I'm craving a Donatos pizza. Glad I didn't see that around dinner time.
