Really any bar on Orange should be good. I would think Wall St has some sort of block party going on. One of the bars there is an FSU bar.
Block party costs money to get in. Spontaneous Cumbustion if you want free entry pourhouse, dapper duck, avenue or underground are all solid places to day drink on orange.
Really? Oh I see they are having one for St. Pattys so that would make sense. Dapper Duck has good food for a bar, so does Avenue actually. Both would be good.
Took Half Knight to his first Orlando City match last night, new stadium is fantastic and the atmosphere is incredible. Had a blast, can't wait to go again, highly recommended
Gonna be in Orlando for Wrestlemania next weekend. Any new bars/restaurants to check out downtown? Lived there from 2007-2010 but haven't really spent much time downtown since moving to Tampa outside of the occasional concert (re: 2) at Amway or seeing Florida lose at the Citrus Bowl. Forgot to add that last time I was down there a few years ago I got to check out The Woods and Hanson's speakeasy for the first time and definitely plan on going back to both
I have internet through spectrum but tv though direct. I basically think there's no right way to go. Both are going to have their pros and cons.
The folks from Hanson's opened up a new place called Herman's Loan Office. I always like The Courtesy more than the rest of the cocktail bars you named. For a good meal I'd recommend Artisan's Table or Stubborn Mule. And I can get you popsicle wasted.
Let me know when you think you are coming by, I'll let you know if I'm in or not. Edit - If there is a guy working behind the counter it is me. Everyone else is a woman that works here.
you sly dog you. I imagine it would be late afternoon Saturday or early afternoon Sunday depending on what we decide to do before Wrestlemania that night.
Mentioned the popsicles to my wife and that I wish I'd asked before we went so I could've gone. Think she might be sending her sister as they plan to go to Universal. Very jealous. Some of those sound amazing
there's a new provider moving into central florida, offering fiber with 1gbps for $60/month currently only in celebration but they should be expanding soon https://www.smartcitytelecom.com
I know its ticky tacky but...I wonder if the Camping World folks had a problem with the WWE referring to the stadium as "the Citrus Bowl" the whole time last night.
may be nothing but saw about 20ish cops in Waterford block off the movie theater it has been closed and they are blocking off entrances
Someone I know is looking for a great breakfast place to take her husband on Fathers Day. She just moved here and I just moved back so I have no idea. Any ideas? Can be anywhere in the city really.
Looking for a traditional breakfast, a southern style one, etc? Orlando kinda sucks at breakfast but there is sevenbites, mills market, white wolf (which I think has gone massively downhill), apparently ace cafe is doing an all you can eat deal that has an incredible looking menu.
O, and Hammered Lamb is another spot. I've also Kasa heard has a solid brunch but I've never actually eaten there.
Gotcha, I usually get the Benedict and it always does me good. Never ventured outside of that though.
Hey All, for anyone who doesn't frequent the dog thread, I'm heavily involved with an animal rescue here in town that takes animals (cats and dogs) from high kill shelters, fosters them, gives rehab and surgeries when needed, and gets them adopted. We are in desperate need of foster homes for these animals, in order to let us save more. This summer has been disgustingly heavy with owner surrenders, abuse cases, and last second pulls from the shelters for dogs that ended up there through no fault of their own. Donations help us but we physically need more homes for these pups to go to for anything from a couple days to a couple months. http://www.thepixelfund.org/application-for-fostering-2017.html If you, or anyone you know, is looking to adopt or is willing to be a foster parent for these animals, please please contact me and let me know, or just go to our website and fill out the foster application. We will contact you and work through the process, tell you what to expect and how to be the best foster you can, but it really just comes down to opening your home and your heart to these animals. Thanks.
Hey All, following up on this post with a couple things. First, the need for new fosters is still huge. we are at the point now where we cannot take any more new animals in because the stress on our current fosters is getting too great. We have one lady that has 18 dogs at her house, give or take a few as they get adopted. So these are lives that cannot be saved from our usual shelters, not to mention the fact that eventually animals will start coming in from the areas affected by Harvey. Please, if you know anyone who might want to foster, we need them. Please share the Pixel Facebook page if you are so inclined. https://www.facebook.com/ThePixelFund/ Next thing, I'm putting together a 5K Run to help raise awareness for animal rescue in general, and for Pixel specifically, here in town (apologies for the repeat post for anyone in the Dog Thread). Here's the link, https://runsignup.com/Race?raceId=51015 It's in Lake Mary on December 10th, if any of you are runners and want to join in, please sign up. For the out of towners, there's a Virtual Race option where you register, do the race on your own time wherever you are, and I will send you the shirt, medal and pet bandana, all the giveaways we will have at the actual race. If you're not into the running thing but still want to support, there's a link to donate to the cause. If anyone is willing to share on Facebook/other social media as well, the wider net we cast, the more chance the cause gets some much needed spotlight. Thank you all for those who have supported Pixel in the past and those who may continue to do so, I you all
Sup? Anyone want to use this thread for Orlando specific storm updates or just the Irma thrread? Lake Nona calm so far.
Feels weird/like a ghost town seeing everything except some gas stations closed. Hope everyone stays safe.
I like that you still have the picture I suggested of us playing tennis. Cracks me up everytime I see it. How you liking the lake Nona area? Stay safe over there. It's gonna be crazy.
Avatar is awesome. Still Makes me laugh too. Lake Nona overall I still really like. Just sooooo much more to come and/or needed. Like we don't have all types of food yet. No Greek food. No solid burger place. No chick fil a. Although the PDQ that just opened helps. Just wondering how our tennis campus takes its first major weather event.
Funny you mention pdq. I've eaten there twice and both times I've gotten really sick. I think it must be something in their seasoning that my body doesn't like. Also, if you need a dentist in that area go see my boys at Lake Nona dental of moss park rd.
Got my parents and gf staying with me so full house downtown. Parked the cars in a downtown garage so shouldn't have any damage to them and just hoping it passes quickly. Would like to just get it over with at this point.
I know the feeling. I feel like I've been doing nothing but staring at shutters and supplies for what feels like a month.
