Thanks for the adds everyone. It’s been a while. What defenders should I be working towards in this Gen? Last I logged in I was 8 away from another Blissey so I’m gonna finish that first

 

Blissy is still the best followed by Chancey, And Snorlax. Slaking is good due to its high CP and discouraging people from attacking a tall gym.

FYI I slowed down playing for awhile and didn’t catch the bug again until about May Or June. The game is much better now due to events, friends, and community days. Make sure you participate in this.

I don't know if it was called out, but it seems like there has been a huge drop in Lucky Pokemon since the friend event ended and the new event started. I must have traded 50 and got none.

 

I felt like the drop happened about 2 days after the event started

 

I was getting a ton throughout. I finally got 1 today but of course we both only got 70-80%ers.

It is received randomly through a trade and it is above 70% and requires significantly less candy and dust to power up.

Yes. It was about 1 in 10 for me but now the odds appear lower for me. Here is an example.

 

Didn’t realize there are 7 km eggs now. This is kinda fun. Still have a bunch of eggs from when I last played (June 2017) that I gotta clear out

 

The game got much better in the past few months but 7KM eggs do get monotonous after awhile once you have multiple high IV versions of each possibility. That said, they are great for dust and for trading and getting km credit towards the distance traded achievement.

BTW this friend thing has been great for me. Thanks to all of you. Helped me quickly level up from 37-39 and gave me lots of resources. Great addition to the game although I hate the damn friends screen. They need to rework that so you can easily go from one friend to the other, and speed up the gift giving.

Tip: always have a lucky egg going when you give gifts and accept them when you get close to the third friendship level. 100k XP a pop. My son is going to fly through level 30-35 just from time he 100k friend bonuses.

 

not at all useful for gyms/raids. might be tradeworthy though, a lot of people don't have them.

So me and my son did our first EX raid today. We drove an hour and a half and made a day of it poke hunting. It was pretty productive. We both caught perfect piloswines. They somehow split us up and there were 20 people in his party and 14 in mine. I lost more Pokémon than I expected. Went through alll 6 but we both got him. Mine wasn’t great but still happy to have it. It was in the 76 range. My sons is better. He caught his on the second to last ball so I was getting nervous. He only had 8 balls. We lost the two ball bonus by getting separated.

 

Am i the only one that feels like the game drains my battery a lot quicker now and gets really laggy a lot more? I dont know if it's my galaxy s7, the game, or what.

 

I joined a discord group today with my son. We did raids with a group for the first time. We both caught 5 out of 6 Ho Oh's. I got 1 shiny.

So I was so OCD today that I went out again. I won 9 raids in total and caught 6 Ho Oh. My son caught 8.

 

I think I’ve added everyone. Stage 2 of the Celebi quest requires 3 new friends so I just sent out to Spoons and Rammer Jammer.

Yea, joining a discord group basically opens up your entire world.

Pre discord my best attackers were a 96 IV Vaporean and a 93 IV Espeon and a lvl 28 91 IV Houndoom.

After discord I pretty much have a 98+ IV version of everything useful.
