Any soundbar and sub recommendations? I have a Sonos Beam that still works along with a gen 1 sub and a pair of play 1s. I’m thinking about upgrading for my new TV and was looking at the Arc Ultra but it looks like that would require replacing the play 1s as well. I think the sub should still work per Reddit anyways but it seems like lots of people are having issues with older products and the Arc Ultra. I’m not married to Sonos since I’d have to essentially upgrade everything almost anyways. Best Buy is my only option for listening to anything so limited there too.
I've got a Filson briefcase I've had for ~8 years now. But have been eying this backpack, especially for travelling. Let me know what you think
It's great for day to day/office. I wanted the classic twill & tin cloth fabric. For travel, I'd go with their Dryden model, as it's intended as a carry-on.
I think my coworker has the Dryden, actually. This would be my daily bag for the office - I'm just sick of carrying my heavy ass briefcase through the airport, too.
From a functional standpoint the Journeyman is great, and I have zero complaints from a EDC/briefcase replacement standpoint. You mentioned travel, and the only concern I'd have for that use would be that the back pocket is just a snap closure... while the Dryden has more secure zipper closures. The Dryden also has this feature, which makes it better suited for travel. I only travel for pleasure & am set for travel luggage/carry-on, so this wasn't a feature I cared about.
Sign up for the factory seconds sale for some less often used pieces. I’ve gotten a few pieces from their sales and have only ever found the supposed defect on one of them and it polished away with barkeepers friend. There's always a chance there’s a dent so keep that in mind, but all my pieces would have made me happy at full price.
Also, Di Oro and Gir both make some really nice silicone spatulas for using with stainless if you don’t already have some.
We just bought the 7 piece D3 set from Macy’s for $300. Also came with a roaster for $8. https://www.macys.com/shop/product/...re-set-exclusively-at-macys-7-piece?ID=568147
I saw this post in time, and after checking their price, was able to stop shipping on the set and buy from Macy’s and save an additional $100. Cheers!
Was mentioned a few weeks back during a performance pant convo… Chubbie’s sale where everything is $40 or less is going now
What’s the go to at Chubbies? I think Jorts said he swore by some joggers. The entire site is 40% off.
5.5” is the go to. I’m 37 and rock the shit out of all of their shorts. I love their shorts, joggers and their everywear pants so choose one and go for it. Big fan of chubbies. Can’t beat this sale either.
The shorts are and everywhere pants are great. The gym to swim shorts are my favorite. They also have a classic pant that's a thicker more traditional khaki. Big fan of all their stuff.

oh yeah wife already said she feels bad taking the discount so we'll add a big tip to cover the difference. but it did get me to go through his catalog to find the pieces I like.
I just went through his works as well. He has several interesting pieces… “Life?” That you posted is probably my favorite.
I keep it sharp so it performs well. Well balanced too. I have the matching serrated bread knife and it is great as well. It’s the one I use to slice briskets, tomatoes from the garden, etc.
