Thankfully I saw them in a retail store before buying… a more inconspicuous logo & I’d likely own every color. Big fan of the Vouri Meta Pant & Chubbies Everywear Performance are quite nice as well.
That reminds me Chubbies had a ridiculous sale on Black Friday last year. Will be loading up if they do the same.
Yeah, I tried them out initially when they dropped the price to $40 for pants/shorts. They do that twice a year - and generally load up
Anyone got a fridge they really like? Starting to look at them to get a new one before Christmas rolls around.
Had an LG. liked it fine but it crapped out after only 7 years. Have a Samsung now. I would say most modern features feel pretty pointless and it just adds more things that can break. Personally I went to the scratch and dent store and got a new model for half the cost and covered scratches with magnets.
Yeah I’m not that interested in “smart” features that will just be failure points down the line. Being able to get ice/water without opening the doors is pretty much my only priority.
Honestly I’m not even talking about those, although I agree. I mean extra doors, multiple ice makers…stuff like that. Ice makers can be the most common thing to break on a fridge so I don’t want a fridge with multiple of them.
https://www.homedepot.com/p/Whirlpo...pill-Guard-Glass-Shelves-WRB322DMBM/205065350 It’s got an ice maker and that’s it. China isn’t hacking my groceries.
Family Dog by Wolters is what my vet recommended and I liked. Bought a couple others but preferred Family Dog. It’s outdated in some respects but you’ll know when that’s the case
One feature, if you can even call it that, that ours has that I really like is the water dispensing area is large enough to fit a full size tumbler. I didn't even pay attention to it when we bought ours, but after having it and then using other fridges where you have to tilt your glass/tumbler, it's just a nice thing being able to avoid the minor annoyance. Again, it doesn't really matter, but it's just something I'm glad ours has and I'll make sure all of our future fridges are the same way.
$3,500 is a lot of money for a TV. I have found that after buying 2 best-of-the-moment TVs, they become below average after two years and on par with TVs at 25% of the price, again two years later. I don’t even have a discerning eye, just a mark that thought I needed “the best.”

Hisense seems to have passed tcl for best value brand. At least that's what my research said like a month ago.
Had to replace a couple Hisense that died after 2 years. Have had a couple Toshibas that lasted a really long time that aren’t way more expensive. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/toshib...hGCeHGku3-2uScPOijsaAm27EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
By long time I mean 2008 to like 2022, I upgraded in like 2017 and it was on display 24/7 for something I used at work for another like 5 years.
I think it's pretty luck of the draw. I had a TLC that didn't last a year, but have a Vizio from like 2005 (my first ever flat panel) that won't die. Have had samsungs, LGs, and a Sony that have lasted well too. Heck that Sony is an old 3d one that we picked up for free when little man broke his with a nerf dart. Easily 10 years old and going strong
I don’t think it is, more reputable tech companies are going to make better products that last. The second Toshiba is now 7 years old and works flawlessly and looks good.
LG rulez all others drool is my motto. (I have a couple hisense and samsungs that do the job just fine too)
I'm team sony for nice tvs and projectors. But there's only one room in the house that demands a good picture. Paw patrol and the like gets the biggest and cheapest thing black Friday has to offer.
bought a hisense for a back patio tv a few years back. died in like 6 months. got another one. died in a few months again. got a samsung for back patio, no issues for 2 years. fuck a hisense tv
I’ve been looking as well. My arch connection died on my family room tv. Haven’t been able to enjoy SS in a bit. Anyways, almost pulled the trigger on a matte finish Samsung but balked last minute. I have a Sony for my bedroom that looks amazing. I went to buy the C4 Lg. Now I’m completely lost. Torn between going bigger(77” LG) or the matte finish Samsung or paying more and buying the Sony OLED. Bonus, my outside TCL died. There’s tv’s made specifically for outside environment but are expensive and heavy.
Note that the Hisense 75” Mini-LED TVs are trash and not worth it. Go 65” or 85”. I don’t think that applies to the U9 though.
