Agree it would be but the cash flow into fsu and all the negative recruting acc gets could balance out. Either way it’s worth the risk imo
only 2 programs in the current B1G recruit better than FSU as of today (OSU and Oregon) and only 3 others recruit in the same weight class as FSU (Michigan, Penn St, USC) otherwise is a whole bunch of suck in that league much like the ACC today UCLA, Wisky, Nebraska, and Washington barely recruit at an above average level. not much different than UL, VT, NCSU, UNC Meanwhile Iowa, Sparty, Rutgers, Maryland, Purdue, Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, and Northwestern are bottom feeders in talent acq much like WF, Stanford, Cal, UVa, Pitt, SMU, GT, BC, Cuse, and Duke
almost like not every team would be buried by having to play all of Ohio St, Michigan, SC, Oregon, & Penn St each year like was implied by a previous poster. there’s actually room for nuance!!!

ESPN may also be factoring in that the GOR might already be dead before the 2027 season regardless of them picking up the "option." Phillips and the ACC have admitted that he did not seek member school approval to give ESPN 5 extra years to renew the contract with no consideration in return. ACC bylaws specifically state any material term to a media contract requires member approval. Phillips did not seek it and the members only found out later when they were reviewing the contract looking for a way out. The ACC presented it to the member schools earlier as if the ESPN had already agreed to a contract through 2036, which was a lie. Significant argument that there is no valid opinion to even pick up and bind the GOR through 2036.
We play the AP #7, 14 and 19 and 3 in the top 6 in others receiving votes. How could we possibly handle a conference with 6 top 25 teams, one of which is Iowa?
No like preseason strength of schedule rankings. FSU has a tough schedule in 2024. The others receiving votes piece was just a funny add on
Florida State is America’s college football team. That’s not a compliment. The Seminoles open the season Saturday against Georgia Tech, but their on-field promise is overshadowed by their circumstances. https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2024/08/20/florida-state-seminoles-college-football-week-zero/
'Coach Mike Norvell is arguably the nation’s best at balancing program development between high school recruiting and cherry picking from the transfer portal'
This shit gets so much grosser every time. Making record revenues and like nope lets cut it to the bone. Can't wait for PE to get involved!
