The original Scream is without question one of the best (probably the best) horror movies of my lifetime.
Saw it listed as just “Scream” on IMDB, figured they were doing a reboot but watching the trailer that’s clearly not the case.
Look at the poster. The knife and face make a roman numeral 5. Whatever they decide to call it, it is Scream 5 I mean, even the M makes a roman numeral 5
I was hoping this thread was about a discovery of a fifth version of the Edvard Munch painting being discovered. Such a thing would be worth almost as much as a NFT of a cartoon monkey JPEG.
Gonna hold off until next weekend. Maybe we put stuff in spoilers for a few weeks. Or at least thru this weekend. I’m sure the twists make the movie
Spoiler Movie was ok. I would probably say it was the 4th best if I were ranking all the Scream movies. It really bothered me that Amber was one of the killers when she looks like she's about 5 feet tall but every scene where she was Ghostface she was about 6 feet tall and overpowering everyone. I'm assuming they were poking fun at her death in Once Upon a Time In Hollywood too by setting her on fire again. Richie being the killer seemed obvious from start to finish. I wish the killers would have had a better motive than being radicalized by fucking reddit, but that was probably the most realistic part of the movie. I thought they might make Sam's mother someone significant but she wasn't even in the movie. The Billy Loomis stuff was kinda dumb but whatever. WHERE THE FUCK WAS EVERYONE IN THE HOSPITAL! No doctors, nurses, patients, guests etc. Gunshots going off and people getting stabbed but there isn't one other person there besides some dead cop.
I always like to leave new movies for a couple weeks to thin the crowds out a bit, even in pre-COVID times.
