Well sure, when you put it that way it sounds like a nothingburger, but considering his character arc has been Brienne training him to be a knight (though she can't actually knight him), I found significance to it. Maybe Jon will knight the both of them before the battle.
Lots of things to find: Tyrion's hand pendant Jaime's golden glove Dany's dragon necklace Bran's wheelchair Arya's Needle Was that the head of Ghost?
Sending a group of guys behind the wall to get a wight to convince Cersei of the existence of the army of the dead: This was some dumbass shit the writers from The Walking Dead Season 72 would have concocted. This is when you knew they had gone way beyond what the author had invented and were just making shit up. He's too damn smart and clever to write something so dumb.
Of all the shit David and Dan came up with this had to be the dumbest one. Because it doesnt even work in the end. It changes nothing for the narrative outside of givingus a zombie dragon to burn down the wall. It's as if George told them the white walkers seize control of a dragon but not how it happens and this is the best they could come up with
The scene where Benjen Stark saves John Snow is really dumb too. It would have taken 2 seconds for Benjen to jump back on the horse and save himself. Maybe he just was ready to die? This is my 4th rewatch and I read the books fwiw
