I’m mad in real life about how they ended Jon’s arc

 

That was just awful fan service. Them bringing out an actual ASOIAF book to Arya becoming Dora the Explorer to Jon going god knows where.

Letting Grey Worm dictate Jon Snows fate...I mean wow that’s bad.

 

Only character I felt any emotional attachment to at the end was Jamie. Favorite character in the series.

I'd love to read an 1000 page book of tyrion interviewing small counsel candidates.

Also, Jon was a total dipshit like a million times over, so he ultimately got what he deserved.

 

just because people had a different ending in their heads for a character doesn’t mean that it is the correct one

 

I ain’t stupid mad but I ain’t real happy. Danys death was meh because that entire storyline just got put on fast forward so it just lacked punch. I’m cool with Jon being the king beyond the wall. I feel like that’s perfect actually. I just wish he got to do more along the way. King Bran and his council of comedians was next level trash. Mainly because Bran sucks as a character these days.

Ehh the endings were mostly fine just a victim of a writing team that has their eyes elsewhere

 

They were a victim of fan fictions inside people’s heads and show theories

 

Argue with someone else over this. I’m ok with how things turned out minus king wheelie. I just wish it were all handled with more care

 

I agree. I think the outcomes were ok and actually better than I was hoping for after this season. If we ever get a chance to read this ending play out over a massive book I think it will be much better.

Also, wouldn't hate short stories about Arya/Jon down the road. Probably a lot to ask but the ending seems to leave the door open.

 

Loved that ending for Jon my boy is TIRED.

 

jumped off of my couch and screamed when Jon finally acknowledged Ghost

 

I almost cried that poor dog lost an ear and no pets last time. Jon just chilling in the north with his bro and his pup is a good ending for me.

 

There was a lot of dumb in that episode, but Dany's Hitler rally was quite good

 

Things I hate, in no order:

• Bran
• How fucking on-the-nose do you have to be? The bells on the ground. K. Literally burning the throne. The fucking book. Great time to break the fourth wall fellas
• Suddenly the Iron Islands and Dorne are just going to be part of the kingdoms while the North gets to fuck off?
• BRAN?
• How much time did we waste the last two seasons only to get one episode apiece to: The Great War, The Last War, total regime/political system change
• Really....Bran

 

The entire series hinting at Jons lineage for it to not matter at all

 

it mattered because it created doubt in Dany’s power and basically killed her

Bronn dedicated to the brothel situation made me chuckle

 

all things equal, I laughed a lot thinking of every nerd who was asspained over Ghost a couple episodes ago. he got his pets, now calm the fuck down about a CG wolf.

 

that fucking 4th wall break at the end is monumentally bad, though.

 

Favorite part of the episode was HBO’s 3 minute “Please don’t leave” trailer for all their upcoming stuff

 

Dany and Jon broke the wheel together

 

Starks: "So uh, Grey Worm is it, got any plans now that things have changed?"

Grey Worm: "We will sail for Naath and never return."

Starks: "Oh, OK, cool. Yea, Jon is totally gone, too. He'll never come back. Definitely. For sure."

 

When brienne writes in the book it would be a perfect place for Dickbutt

 

People who were surprised on how Dany got killed by Jon blow my mind

Tyrion yells about Sansa not having a choice to bend the knee then two minutes later Dany says the same in the exact same words as they show Jon's obvious revelation

Were these people not paying attention or was that less obvious than I thought?

 

huge red spot on the ground (seriously, it's there, you can see it as Drogon flies off), Dany missing, and Jon's not the lying type anyway.

the thing that makes the lease sense there is GW letting Jon live. I feel like he'd just instantly murder Jon once he became aware of what happened.

Episode should have ended with Jon killing dany. Had another episode to wrap up. Got more drama as cliffhanger.

Not just jump a few weeks down the road either in next episode. Greyworm just accepts everything and nopes the fuck out. It was another wasted opportunity for intrigue.

The two battle episodes should have been only 80 min ones.

 

Drogon melted the throne because Dany had a knife sticking out of her. He thought the chair killed her
