I remember being so pissed at how the show handle the whole Jamie braking Tyrion out of jail situation because they shit all over "where do whores go" dynamic. Watching Jamie and Tyrion drink and joke about Tyrion being married before was such BS. these asshats took a big dump on a very important dynamic of the Tyrion/Jamie relationship just so they could have Tyrion betray Dany inorder to repay a debt to Jamie that he technically doesn't owe. The more I think about things they've changed and how they plan to have them play out in the end, it doesn't seem like this is how George was setting this up to end at all.
Not saying it’s definitely happening, but if it does we’ll look back on Tyrion chatting with a Bran about his wheelchair being foreshadowing for him being in the Throne.
This is another big one for me In the past seasons, the worlds of Essos and Westeros were made to look sprawling and full of characters and life Now all we get is a void gate filled with sand and a lack of any activity in the world's largest city
Guys, I’ve convinced myself that the leak was only episode 4 and any of the spoilers afterwards are total troll shit.
The best part about this is that George probably hates it. He spent a lot of time on these characters and now they’re being ripped apart.
People are going to be so pissed if that's the real ending. The show was good for at least 50 hours so I can live with the last of it being not great. Battlestar Galactica is still a great show even though it has the WOAT ending
There are some valid complaints, but 90% of these posts are more reflective of the poster’s general shittiness than the show.
I don’t think anyone would be that surprised if Jon actually would have killed Dany in the books. It’s a well known theory. But the reason for him killing her in the show is completely off base. It’s not so that he can create Lightbringer with her as his Nissa Nissa. Instead, it’s because she’s doing something that’s going completely against what we know of her as a character.
Praying for HBO to know this was coming and playing the strings behind it. Yes, I know the writers suck, blah blah blah, and I shouldn’t expect that, BUT I GOTTA.
For the first time in years I actually really hoped grrm would finish the books after watching how fast and the furiously d&d crashed And burned his story. Hopefully it motivates him too.
I've read all the leaks and I just don't see Jon being the guy to kill Dany, even if she does do a slash-and-burn job on King's Landing. She's not crazy-mad, she's (justifiably) angry, and I don't see Jon getting all that pissy about it. If he kills Dany, it's because she did something really unjustifiable, or really did go crazy-mad (which I think would be a really terrible ending).
Nor can I see Bran Fucking Stark an ending that is in anyway satisfying. I’m going with purposely leaked info and I’m sticking to it.
I couldn't see this either at first but after reading some of the theories, it actually makes sense in GRRM's world. Essentially it's not Bran that becomes King but the 3 Eyed Raven. That he let everything play out so that he would be the last one standing and having a CotF sit on the throne when it all ends is a very GRRM thing to do. Also I feel like Jon and Dany have been on a collision course the whole series and him killing her is the only logical ending given what's been built. The time is off because it made more sense if it happened before the battle with the WW and Jon becomes AA to save humanity.
Here’s something I’ve always wondered: once Azor Ahai creates Lightbringer...then what? Is it like the Fierce Diety Mask in Majora’s Mask, just fucking wrecking everything?
The thing that doesn’t make sense to me about those spoilers is that there’s seemingly no need for the Nights Watch anymore
Never thought about that. Maybe it destroys their ice swords or something, similar to how their ice swords destroy steel swords.
Yeah there's no reason at all for it to exist, but I also 100% believe Benioff and Weiss wouldn't let that stop them from having that be Jon's conclusion
There will be because there will supposedly always be a Night King and he will be "reborn" again by the end of the series signifying an endless cycle.
He did make a baby with blue eyes so that lil fucker may be crawling around in some ice pampers somewhere far up north.
Yeah. White Walkers = Craster’s sacrificial babies. Have to be alive and turned. Wights = dead people rising. At least that’s my understanding.
Actually curious if anyone has read anything about how it went down, or if people have theorized about it. I’m trying to make sense of the logistics of it.
Tons of theories but there’s little actual written about it in the main book series. Can’t speak to the other ASOIAF works because I’m boycotting them and refuse to give GRRM more money until he finishes.
The Rhaegal death scene is the perfect metaphor for what has been done to GRRM’s work with D&D being the first 2 arrows and HBO the final death blow.
Imo, Dany is justifiably angry. The majority of her resources gone and she’s still getting shit on by Sansa and the north. I don’t understand how they can still disregard after she contributed so much to the battle to save them. I’d been like “you’ll have whatever you need” Also, she’s already fulfilled 2 parts of her vision that she had in season 2. - Instead of taking out Cersei and claiming the throne, she turned away and went north. - She went north of the wall - Last one to be fulfilled, seeing Drogo and her unborn child - Hopefully that last part doesn’t happen until she has a child with Jon
But she's not the rightful heir to the throne and knows it. Anything she does to claim it is as a conqueror and not taking back what is rightfully hers. Her actions are no more justified than Renly Baratheon's attempt to claim the throne. Even Stannis could justify his by saying that the children weren't Robert's.
One of the spoilers said that Drogon scoops up Dany's body and flies her off north. Maybe Jon goes back to the watch because Bran tells him Dany will become the next Night King and he feels a duty to protect the realm
Well Jon has repeatedly said he doesn’t want it, so by right it’s hers. However, I’m sure they’re going to force it on him anyway because reasons
that's not really the way it works. It'd be different if they reclaimed it together and he abdicated it to her. Everyone witnessed her father go crazy and burn half the realm and seen rage and anger in her already, so they're pretty justified in not trusting her
Not be crazy, bro. Just because she’s gone through a lot doesn’t make her less crazy. Just makes her turn more tragic
I already told you how it ends. Jon takes the black and the boys are back in town starts playing. Cut to a dead Dany opening up blue eyes at “wont be long till summer comes”
