The first two episodes came out today. My buddy told me it's really good but I have not watched it yet. Someone go ahead and watch it and tell me if it's worth starting. Directed by Ben Stiller. Starring Adam Scott, Patricia Arquette, John Turturro, Christopher Walken, Britt Lower, etc. Mark leads a team of office workers whose memories have been surgically divided between their work and personal lives. When a mysterious colleague appears outside of work, it begins a journey to discover the truth about their jobs.
The Apple+ slow emergence as the potential next HBO has been a pleasant surprise over the last couple years.
I wish they'd just release the whole season at once. I feel like there's a ton of potential in this show. Adam Scott is absolutely fantastic.
I am enjoying all of the misery. I literally feel the tension and frustration. I have no idea where this is going. So many possibilities. Amazing cast. the funeral scene was so disturbing.
The number of things they'll have the chance to play around with is really exciting. Tension in every scene.
Ok those were the two things I thought of. I am not sure they are living "there" as much as pointing to the direction where Mark may actually live.
Based on what we know so far about how severance works, there is no other possible outcome unless she isn’t dead at all in either life, because we haven’t seen the conclusion of what happens in the elevator.
Yeah, I mean I hate the quick cut away bc I think it’s be cheap if someone comes by right at the beginning of the next episode and saves her. Reminds me of Brianne killing Stannis but you don’t see the death blow, so everyone still has to wonder.
I don't think cloning is off the table. although I think Mark had a cold that carried over in and out one episode.
This show is great. Dylan is hilarious Is this a limited series or are they going to stretch this out over seasons? really hope they have an ending mapped out and don’t spend years building this world without the conclusion and we end up with some lost BS
I hate to be that guy, but the one thing that I cant get out of my head is why/how the company doesnt have cameras and monitoring every single thing the employees do. For a company that wants to control everything, it seems like a significant plot hole. When I can put that aside, it's a great show.
Eh. She’s making that decision to let them be. The board doing nothing while over seeing everything seems suspect.
Spoiler I don’t think the board are actual people. I think they are the brains/consciousness of the old ceos
I thought the same thing initially. I think we'll ultimately understand why this is and as it was alluded to earlier, they've already started to address it. There's something weird about the cameras and technology they use too, like the outdated camera to film the videos from the outies and the team pictures are taken on an older camera as well.
There is a lot to unpack in that episode. Spoiler They can activate the severance switch outside of the building. Dylan's innie now knows he has a child. Their detection of taking inside material out is flawed. I couldn't really figure out what they did to MDR, it looked like they were blocking them off from the rest of the building.
If you are referring to Patricia Arquette in the beginning of the episode, maybe. I can see them having an entire time fuck at some point, but I really have no idea where this goes or if time is a factor at all.
