Well Richarlison is much better then those two and proven in the PL with 2 years left on his deal. You're going to have to pay a premium for that. I'd be fine figuring out a deal for him because we have little to nothing behind our starting three attackers. Bergwijn and Lucas are decent dubs but they're not different makers if forced to start games. With how many fixtures we'll have next season I think it's really important for us to bring in another quality attacker. Having depth and the ability to rotate there would be a good problem. I'd love to see us bring in another proven CB but we actually have solid depth there assuming everyone stays. Midfield and wing is where I'd like to see us improve our depth and talent so we're not completely reliant on our front starting 3 for goals. Especially since Gil doesn't seem to be in Conte's plans.
Speculation entirely as PSG had some interest in the past, who else is even sniffing him (or his exorbitant wages)? With the Spence move imminent, we would abandon any lingering interest in Hakimi et al
Richarlison is exactly what we need. He’s strong on the ball, good in the air, is a proven goal scorer from both the wing and centrally, relatively young, technically good. He’s better than Jesus from City so if Jesus is worth 50-60mm then Richarlison is worth at least that much.
Then no one will buy him this window. We spent 50 for him and have to give Watford 10%. you’re not getting him for the same. 60-70 is probably the fair market value.
He won’t, because Richy has said he and his reps have already sat down with Frank+new DOF and came to an agreement of “we think you’re worth this, if someone offers us that or close enough we will do everything in our power to help you move”.
I’m hoping we get a deal done, but it’s not happening at £50-55 IMO. Would probably get it done with 60-65ish range, but we do have a bit of power especially if we can sell Gomes and Mina as we are trying to do
Keep him TheSkeeter, I don't want that ass clown. Would prefer other options. He's going to need a security detail at all times if he comes to Spurs anyway because Romero may kill him.
I get this mindset, but it’s a dangerous game with only two years left on his contract. Everton will have much less bargaining power next summer should he still desire to move on, and there’s no way he can be allowed to leave on a free. I’d be a bit surprised if we reached a deal, but I think this will drag on for a while nonetheless.
Y’all really don’t understand how much the man fights\ how good a person he is. He has to make a show of everything because he get like 2 fouls for the 20 times he’s actually fouled each game.
I’m legit less upset at losing Richy the player, who is awesome btw, than losing Richy the Human who worth £200 million
To my question earlier today, Paul O’Keefe (can’t remember his reliability) suggested Reguilon going the other way in a deal with Juve for McKennie.
I’m ok overpaying for Richarlison. You have to pay up for goals. His conversion rate with service from Kane, Son, Eriksen (fingers crossed), Kulu, and Perisic should improve from what he was given at Everton. I think viewing him as a “backup to Kane is Son” is short-sighted. There’s plenty of minutes available for a 4th attacking option. If we want to truly challenge City and Pool for trophies we have to match their attacking options. They’re going to be bringing guys in off the bench like Nunez, Jota, Mahrez, and Gundogan. Kane, Son, Kulu and Richarlison is a really good front 3 rotation. It at least gets us in the same ballpark as the top clubs.
Would (theoretically) really help against teams that park the bus and on set pieces, too. Eriksen sending balls into the box to Kane, Perisic, and Richarlison, all three are really good with headers, is a big improvement on what we’ve been doing since Llorente left.
I was a big fan of this move. I saw some stats today that make me think twice. His stats as a forward are actually below average in most offensive areas except for assists. A bunch of his goals come from taking penalties. He excels more as an attacking mid and his real strength is in defending, where he is well above average compared to players in his positions.
He played for Everton. They were terrible. He’ll be a lot better playing next to Kane, Son, and Kulu.
I get it. Again, I am all for it at the right price. I am just saying I assumed no brainer due to his goal scoring over the past five years and I didn’t realize that so many came from pens.
Transfermarkt says 53 goals for Everton, 4 pens. That doesn’t seem like a lot 5 for Watford, none pens
Booooooo. It was fun shenanigans, then you brought the slander to the party. He’d be the best human on your team.
I want him to join. I am good with half a Grealish, and a 10 million add-on if he scores 10 goals, deal?
Is this guy good? Seems like another defensive midfielder which I'm not sure we really need. If he's a replacement for Winks and we still get a more attacking midfielder I'm cool with the move.
bit dicey off of the pitch, and I'm not talking about the SA thing (that sounds like it was his uncle in a club, but he was there)... but man, hell of a midfielder.
box to box who can clown dudes with the ball at his feet and score from range. He's what they wanted from Ndombele but actually proven in this league and for half the price.
I feel the same way about him as I do about Richarlison. He’s exactly what we need and almost a perfect fit. Only question mark is the sexual assault case.
We are not fucking around this transfer window. Love the new attitude towards early signings. I remember watching our last game against them this last season and thinking he was the best player on the field. A midfield of Bissouma, Skipp, Betancur, Hojbjerg and possibly Eriksen provides Conte with nice options and allows him to mix and match based on the opponent, and game script. Quite the change from the past 5+ seasons.
