In first grade my bus was late to drop me off. I don't know why it was late but what I told my mom was an outlandish story of how our first bus was in an accident and they had to swap us to a new bus. I described the tire from our bus rolling down the road after we were hit and all kinds of weird shit. It was 100% a lie and she believed me until talking to another parent that night. She still reminds me of that, no idea why I made up a story or how my story was believable.
