He talked about that a while ago. This is from the new GQ article. He will still play in the studio with them
Self-titled debut that starts with a 7-min track featuring 90 seconds of guitars ripping remains such a baller move lol.
The Wednesday/MJ Lenderman musical universe continues to expand. Colin Miller - Cadillac. Album in April.
I'm gonna buy tickets to see him in Phoenix in September when I get home tonight. Was +1 in Tucson and will probably be +2 this time because he's really popular with my office mates
Not sure if anyone is familiar with these guys (seen them a couple times) but this note puts a lot into perspective
Does Umphreys McGee count as alternative music? Saw them tonight for the first time since Covid at Iron City in Bham. Still put on an elite rock concert. Gonna see them again on 4/27 in Austin. Used to go to their 4/20 show every year for a while before the Vid hit
just realized folks here were talking MJ Lenderman in a thread. i love this album. especially Left Your Smile.
listening to Morning Teleportation for the first time in forever, Expanding Anyway was what got me to start following this thread and searching for new music in the first place, pretty sure it was NYGator who initially posted them seeing them in a cozy little room is still one of the coolest live experiences I've had
Yes, sucks that the lead singer committed suicide. They were super talented. The one time I saw them they were amazing.
Florry — Hey Baby. New album in May. They’re on the twangy side of indie rock/alt-country, but recorded in Asheville where Wednesday/MJ record and co-produced by Colin Miller of MJ’s band. Real damn good if you like that kind of thing.
