Welp. Chrome has been killing my battery anyways, so maybe I'll try the Samsung browser. Don't need her getting offers for scotch and celebrity dicks
If she ever logged into email on a device of yours (or vice versa) don't be surprised if they associate that device ID with both accounts, and then possibly ad swaps.
My wife did not and still got ads for shit like guitars which I was looking at. I never could figure out how that happens unless they're listening to conversations
I can only speak on the Pixel 5. I love it. Having the same size screen as the 2XL on a lighter and smaller chassis is really nice. Haven't had it too long but it's been flawless.
Over a year on the 4XL and my battery concerns were so silly in hindsight. By far the best phone I've had, granted I had been loyal to LG before this one I know Google has their issues but I really like having all my stuff under their umbrella
I'm on a OnePlus 7 Pro and switching to an 8t if the price drops again here when the 9s officially come out. The 7 Pro still hums along, but I miss having a totally flat screen. Hate the curved edges.
When my screen sleeps/locks, I can wake it momentarily by moving it (Moto E). Clock with a circle around it showing battery left. It sleeps again after ~10 seconds. Any way to customize that? How do I get to its settings, if possible?
Waddup OnePlus fam! I've got the 7 Pro too and it has been the best phone I've ever had. Have had it for over 2 yrs now. Have had zero issues. Sure the battery isn't what it was new but no phone after two years is. I still can go a full day without charging so that's what really matters. Due to how good this phone has been they have earned me looking their direction first whenever I decide to get a new phone. That won't be for quite a while though as I have no reason to replace this one. The damn Chinese got me hooked!
I would love to switch to the OnePlus line, but last time i checked they still don't offer a water resistant model.
Pixel 6 might have a Google chip https://www.droid-life.com/2021/04/...JmcTg0Nks3YWJxNmJmV19qdnh4UFU4WmRxLXh5eGZicXo.
OnePlus 8 series anniversary sale starting at midnight. 8t is already pretty cheap at this point, if it gets under $500, I'd say that's the best phone on the market at that cost
Anyone else have terrible lag/buffering on Bluetooth and Chromecast? I've tried disabling the battery optimization on YouTube music and turning location off, but I can't get it back to life.
nothing for me here. Google I/O is tomorrow. Should bring Android 12 public beta, some interesting service updates/features, and maybe new but underwhelming hardware.
I'm the opposite. I don't like the larger fonts, padding, weird shapes, etc. (new quick tiles are a terrible regression for power users). I have it on my backup (p3 XL) and it's just fine. I just don't want to look at it on my daily driver (p5).
Still rocking a Pixel XL 2. I guess because it quit getting updates, the camera stopped working. I tried a few things that didn't fix it. I guess a hard reset is in order. 1. Outside of transferring current photos to cloud or computer, anything else I need to do before doing a hard reset? 2. Any new phone suggestions? I've always been happy with Google based. Had the Galaxy Nexus for 4 years and this Pixel for 3 with a Note in between.
Get a cheap P3XL or P4XL (ebay, used, etc.) to hold you over until the P6 is released. It looks like a hot rod but just speculation and rumours at this point. Expected to be revealed towards October. if you're not down for that, just go with the p5.
The location makes a lot of sense. I guess it thinks I have little to no influence over my wife which stands to reason
Update:. Switched to Samsung browser, removed my google profile from my wife's laptop, and disabled Google's info sharing between desktop and mobile. My wife still got an ad from one of my searches on Facebook. I just turned off Google's targeted ads - that's really the last thing I could think to do.
Pixel 4 XL died in a hot tub this week, so will be picking up one from the Pixel 5/S21/OnePlus 9 lines. Anyone have one of those, thoughts?
Is it possible to switch back and forth between project fi and my sprint plan for coverage purposes? Have a lakehouse with shit coverage so I was planning on getting something prepaid for out there. Then I started wondering if I could basically have sprint and fi on my phone.
You could in theory but you wouldn't be able to switch your number back and forth as flexible as you would need. Use sprints sim card Change to Project Fi Sim card when needed Switch back to sprints sim card Pause project fi Also, see if there's any TMo signal out there. If no, there's no point to using Project Fi.
Yea I'm on a sprint t-mobile network already so that wouldn't work. Coverage map on fi website must be bs.
you can probably do it with a google fi e-sim phone and a real sprint sim https://support.google.com/pixelphone/answer/9449293?hl=en
