Tua played well yestereday and had a couple great throws late. That being said, I would like to present evidence to counter the "master class" tag being assigned.
he had enough good throws out of structure to say that it isn't just scheme / Hill. It will be interesting how differently the Pats approach it and how Tua fares against a Belichick defense
Like I said, he played well. But he only had two throws that I think 80 percent of starters couldn’t make. Rolling left to Berrios the sideline was very impressive and obviously that TD to Tyreek where he was stepping up and threw across his body. The rest were (could be missing one or two) were so easy. Also, last year when the Chargers made Tua look like the worst QB in the league they played zone 88 Percent of the game. This year? They manned up 80 percent of the time. So tip to the Pats, don’t play a lot of man.
super funny nice recovery from the "i gave my wife a couple of creampies" last week talk that started the segment  i felt like Kimmel forgot he was on a pod there
I'm in a 2 QB league and my QBs are Rodgers and Purdy my backup? Michael McCorkle Jones anybody wanna do a podcast?
Bill Simmons with a direct Shane Gillis call-out on The Big Picture's Denzel draft, referencing his "racism can be solved with football" bit. Unexpected.
does anybody believe it for a second when Bill says he never likes seeing any player get injured? Give me a break
Unfortunate to see Bill pop up on a Big Pic Denzel movie draft episode. The Sean/Amanda/Chris dynamic on those eps are one of my favorite recurring things on the Ringer podcast network each month.
i decided to watch blackhat* and it was fine. sort of wonder what the original cut is like because the story this way was very coherent. *the director's cut torrance
Adam Nayman with an all-time line: “I went and saw the new Fin Wolfhard directed slasher movie and that was totally my fault.”
also, Amanda trying to pull the “I was there before it was cool” hipster thing re: Taylor Swift is insane and hilarious. you liked the music from when you were younger, we know! that is how it works for everyone.
it is an especially weird thing to do when Taylor Swift was a huge star from day 1. like when she was a teenager. this isn't like being early on some Indie band that breaks big and headlines Bonnaroo. It is Taylor Swift I go to the Big Picture for movie takes. But I stay to listen to some late 30s / early 40s crisis podding
Not to brag but I was all in on Taylor when I saw her live at Citizen's Bank Park playing the national anthem before game 3 of the World Series in 2008. I was there with my dad and I remember saying to him right after she finished that this girl has it, she's going to be the Lebron of the pop world for at least the next 15-20 years, first ballot pop star HOF'er no question.
I saw black keys with about 20 people then in a sold out nba arena two years later but was already over them. THATS HOW YOU MUSIC HIPSTER
He’s such a pretentious asshole but has really grown on me for those types of throw away comments about things he hates (which is most things).
i think russillo hit a new low for me today zagged on that rich australian guy talking about how employees need to be begging for jobs and then talked about how job layoffs (and companies treating their employees well) are just a figment of media coverage
- nailed the draft - we have a real offensive coordinator - elite defense - we have a good punter now - rhamondre is a top 6 running back
Bill’s going to be talking about how the Patriots are better than their record indicates all year. “We’re this years Carolina Panthers!”
Hate to hear bill in such a bad place with the pats. Shame! At least the pod was presented by Exxon Mobile
“This team is a bottom half of the league team” “Mac Jones is a below average quarterback.” Bill coming to grips with what everyone else knew back in May.
"that's too high" because Bills are favored -6 against Washington and BS picked -3. never change. the team that just blew out a bad / middling team by 28 can't conceivably cover -6 against Washington.
