Hearing him whine about jameles tweet about Lamar while simultaneously building entire pods around doing that was choice
And why did Simmons say “Freddy Kitchens looked like he should just be drinking a malt 40 on the sideline”. What does that mean?!?
Haven't listened to the last couple pods. Couldn't care less about him and his dad talking about AB or Sox vs Yankees or Sean Penn. Anxiously waiting to see what the latest Rewatcheable will be.
Listening to RR pod. He makes some levelheaded comments about the AB situation and tells a story about 9/11. Very good episode.
Glad Bill could clip the entire Antonio Brown discussion to get to the interview with fine upstanding citizen...Sean Penn
Dipping the sexual assault talk to hang out with a serial committer of physical assault, great optics
Also you bet your ass Bill would talk about Antonio Brown and the accusations if he was on any other team

Also, and I really can’t stress this enough, and has nothing to do with The Ringer, but fuck Chip Kelly
Benoit pisses me off for 2 reasons. 1. He’s the annoying writer who brags about “tape grinding” like he’s fucking Marty Schottenheimer watching 18 hours a day. 2. This summer he said on Twitter that the rams never did anything to generate a single block for Aaron Donald and “boy oh boy” when they figure that out. Fuck off dude, you think Wade fn Phillips doesn’t know how to scheme a 1 on 1 for a DT? You don’t have to be Buddy Ryan to see the Rams go with 2 5 techs, 2 3 techs and double mugged backers vs 10p multiple times a game. Football coach twitter ripped him to shreds.
Yeah he’s just consistently wrong at worst. There are way better nfl analysts out there everywhere now
who would've ever guessed Malcolm Gladwell was #TeamOutlaw https://lancasteronline.com/sports/...cle_bf864a06-d3dc-11e9-a27c-37247ab3c075.html
Benoit is BRUTAL. Mentioned this before, but Russillo's guests often veer towards terrible. Maybe he's tainted after years of convincing himself Danny Kanell and Will Cain were solid co-hosts
it makes me feel old and honestly bums me out a little to see how kind of dumb Gladwell/Klosterman have gotten now that they're insanely famous and intellectually pretty lazy or maybe they always were kind of the dumb persons intellectual and I didn't realize I was a mark
The first season of revisionist history was really good. The 3 parter on educational funding was outstanding and made me dive deep for articles on it. Season 2 was mostly forgettable, except for the episode on Hallelujah. Season 3 and his obsession with Jesuit protocols has been awful and not anything I’ve enjoyed.
I really enjoyed the jesuit stuff ( although he had to reach to connect the stories to jesuit thinking on the last one) I thought the episode on police shootings was really really interesting.
just saw this today https://awfulannouncing.com/espn/da...ne-travel-with-espn-failed-spectacularly.html
easy to see why Jimmy Kimmel looked at Bill and thought "I need this type of comedy for my new talk show"
