Just curious - who in 2019 is still questioning the validity of daily creatine? Not aimed at you, I'm curious as to what "experts" are writing articles that say that.
i have a coworker who read it was dangerous years ago, actually he read posts from message boards telling people they wouldnt be considered natural if they used creatine, anyways he avoided it for years. some time a year ago i was talking about using it and he asked me if i was worried about “not being natty”. i laughed hysterically and then realized he was serious.
as long as it comes from a former soviet state, i dont really ask questions. it'll work for something.
Does anyone have any ideas on options for programs if your shoulders are both fucked and you really can’t lift very heavy? I’m bored as shit doing this volume rep lifting shit.
Both labrum are torn, one rotator had partial tear and both biceps tendons are almost full torn. I refuse to get cut on though.
If I’m correct in my understanding, four out of those five will never heal without surgical intervention (cuff being the outlier.) That said, nothing wrong with adapting your regimen if you want to forego surgery.
I've never really tried creatine, but the once or twice I remember taking it my stomach was really wonky and I had the shits really bad. Does that just take a minute for your body to get used to, is there a brand I should avoid, or am I just someone who can't take it?
Was it just creatine or part of a pre-workout? I purchase the ON brand off Amazon. Super cheap and never had any issues.
Yep. I’m 38 and I just don’t have the availability to cut and rehab them right now. I’ve always said it I could just have rebuilt shoulders I might do it. I can deadlift fine with a trap bar. It’s just some movements that get me. I can decline Bench fine but incline bench is a no go. I can press as long as it’s out in front and can do lay Pulldowns out front too. I think the thing is I used to be able to go heavier but now I’m doing lighter weights with a shit ton of reps and it takes forever
After getting a SLAP tear repaired in my shoulder I was told the worst thing I could do is incline bench and I’ve done my best to avoid it. I’ve been successful incline DB pressing and having a slight angle to the DB’s (think 45* angle compared to how your hands would be on a barbell).
Trying limited range of motion press variations: floor press, pin press, or board press. A slingshot might help you a lot too.
We 38+ year olds are the bannermen of this thread. righty and his fellow pizza-pounding 20something brethren best show some respek.
Yeah I really try to limit ROM for sure. I mean at the end of the day I probably lift more than I did before in regards to total weight lifted it’s just over a ton of reps.
They have no idea how awesome it is when you hit that mystery age when one day everything just goes to absolute shit.
I’m saying treat those as competition movements and try to push those maxes higher. Just go full conjugate training. Serious.
I’m 27 (just turned Sunday) and have had: Reconstructive elbow surgery Meniscus tear Fractured vertebrae SLAP tear surgery (same arm as elbow) And all of this was before I finished my first semester of freshman year in college. I didn’t get to live a non-injured adult life.
I’ll always have you, top two ab muscles. It’s you lower fucks that have failed me this past decade :(
For whatever reason creatine monohydrate messes with some peoples stomachs. I’d probably look at another type of creatine
Ever heard of it triggering vertigo? When I was taking it several years ago, I was also suffering from pretty awful vertigo fairly often. I stopped taking it and haven't had an issue since. I'm not sure if it was the cause or if it was just coincidence though.
Used the landmine press device for first time today, was significantly harder than I expected and worked the hell out of me. Gonna use it a lot more going forward.
34 as of about a week ago, nice 6 pack with right light. Nice no pack with wrong light and a small piece of lower belly fat that refuses to go away. Did some 1 arm barbell holds today( suitcase deadlift but just holding it for time). It was tough, might be my new favorite grip challenge.
Kind of funny how Shaw and him are great friends. Their personalities couldn't be more opposite. Also, if you're gonna call out Thor as I assume he is talking about the interview about whether he can pull 500 kilos, don't do it while performing some gay ass bodybuilding workout. Still love him, he's just from a terrible place.
Eddie is just a massive shit talker. I think his view is he’s pulled 500kgs so until someone knocks him off he owns the shit talk. Even if he does dumb shit like Zumba or Crossfit
Did a lunges and split squats workout Tuesday. I’ve been falling down onto the toilet for two days and counting. Why do we do these things?
i currently have huge bruises all over both biceps from 5 sets of keg cleans. look ridiculous, but these gainz
Had my death by squat and paused DL volume session last night. About to get on a plane for a couple hours, then sit in a car for another hour. My hips and glutes are gonna be screaming so loud I can’t hear my headphones
