Really shouldn’t be a problem. I’m not an engineer, but in my experience, that’s not enough weight to cause structural issues, especially if you’re controlling the weight and you’re being smart about placement. Find out which way the joists run and set your equipment up against a wall that runs perpendicular, an exterior or load bearing wall, if possible.
I’ve had a good year for my humanity but lifting has sucked granted it was low end trap bar but 405 never felt easier today even with like 100 in bands. I’m old, just wanna move decent weight easy and have good cardio bless up, I don’t wanna talk about bench or OHP.
I will second that. I stopped benching heavy with any type of frequency and all low weight, high volume stuff. Every 6 months or so I’ll see what I can do and it has helped me break plateaus for sure.
for years i have struggled with a deadlift hitch, where i would move a few inches before the weight ever budged off the ground. i have finally made some progress and seem to be locking up much sooner in my lift. began benching twice a week and it feels nice to be doing something different.
I often eat a turkey sandwhich that is infused with D-Bol https://www.nytimes.com/2024/07/30/...unlocked_article_code=1._E0.PT1l.cNxBrbwWnGwa
Why you have kayakers during open water swimming and triathlons but crossfitters are too tough for that even though most suck at swimming
In one of the videos you can see a fan jump in to the water and start swimming out to him. Edit: This. On the right at the very start
There have been countless complaints about athletes safety in the games and they dismiss them because apparently someone has to die for them to care. CrossFit HQ has always been a joke. Hopefully they get sued into oblivion.
I didn't realize it was in Texas this year until I saw the feed this morning for the first event and was aghast. They had people dropping like flies in fucking Wisconsin and they thought Texas in August was a better spot?
Yep. Wonder what they end up doing. A fuck ton of time and money into setting this up but I don't know how you move forward with it all with this over you. I actually do crossfit and our gym has an athlete at the games. Will be interesting to hear what some of the feedback is from everyone that's there.
Couldn't believe it. I read he competed in water polo for like ten years. I haven't done CrossFit in a few years, but I keep up with the games and stuff, but man they do some stupid stuff as far as events and movements go. Sad.
Tough video to watch but best I've seen, certainly looks like he's caught in something, that or his body just shut down. Only 2 paddle boarders in this entire region is just negligence. They have individual judges with stupid clipboards counting out every rep but this is what they deem acceptable. Terrible, RIP
He knew it would be so brutal they'd need cold tubs but didn't think to have more lifeguards and volunteers.
As Killy said, I hope the family sues them into oblivion. Fuck their little gofundme going around, make the right people pay I don’t know the safety protocols but has to be a negligent death slam dunk. I’ve done a good amount of open water swimming and have never seen such a huge gap between non-competitor personnel out there. It’s typically really good shit really pissed me off today, quit making this the be a Navy seal games because Dave Castro and Josh Bridges are so cool
They are continuing the games. The only way anything really changes, imo, is everyone who is still employed that has any connection to Glassman is let go, like Castro.
i don’t see them stopping it. they seem like the folks who would rebrand it as a memorial before the weekend is through.
Before and after Trim work and final details to go, but lots of progress this AM and very happy with how it looks
Thanks, brother! The flooring was a weight on my shoulders, so I’m excited to get it done. Those rolls are brutal to move. 52’ long, and probably 350 lbs. thankfully most home gyms aren’t that long lol.
