Super good movie and very much slept on
Saw it tonight in IMAX, was freakin awesome.
I found myself white knuckling the armrests there in the last 30 minutes. Walking out of the theatre I felt like I had just ridden a rollercoaster and my adrenaline was pumping.
She’s gorgeous and she’s a great call back to the first movie.
:29 second mark
It was so good.
Hate having to drive home after stuff like this. Probably needed a 10 minute cool down first
Got in my feeling seeing val kilmer like that. Good on them to make his real illness a part of the movie's plot
Really liked it. Eyes definitely got a little misty multiple times. My only issue is that the character development could have been a little better, especially for Rooster. Last 30 minutes was intense.
Do I drive 25 minutes one way to watch it in standard or 80 minutes to watch in IMAX.
This is the way
Idk if we even have that option in Ohio.
Easton Town Center in Columbus has Dolby.
What's your zip code?
90210 lmao jk 45885
ok yea u fucked
At least we have good roller coasters.
Life is about compromise
A real Top Gun would spend the 3 hours driving to see it in Dolby
with thse gas prices?
I have a hovercraft.
Interesting to consider regarding Tom Cruise's lengthy career: Other than Mission:Impossible, he does not do sequels. He's managed to be the biggest, longest-lasting box office action star of his era based almost entirely on original IP work.
Hes basically chuck norris
There’s been reports of people driving fast/speeding out of the theater I’ve heard.
Funny bc I did the same thing with the theme song blaring.
It’s so fucking good.
funniest shit for me was the old man sitting next to me at the end of the movie
who the fuck was penny in the first movie?
I enjoyed that we got an explanation for what "Went ballistic with Penny Benjamin" was.
Better than the original
She wasn't physically in the first movie, but...
i told him to watch the original and pay close attention to this scene
When Rooster said “do some of that pilot shit” I’m pretty sure I climaxed
Driving 2.5 hours round trip tomorrow to see it in IMAX at 3:45 by myself while my fiancée is at work.
7pm showing and the theater I'm at is already packed
Currently overhearing a guy behind me explaining to his wife what "raw dog" means by reading the definition off urban dictionary
I didn't think it was possible to be 2.5 hours from an IMAX east of the Mississippi
Going to see it tonight in Dolby
Cinemark at The Greene in Beavercreek. I assume IMAX is the move over their “digital cinema” option.
God so fucking good
it was exceptional
That movie fucking rocked
I see your point regarding his early career but after 2024 he’ll have gone since 2014 where the only thing he’s done in a decade that wasn’t a sequel was American Made
Mummy was technically a reboot, not a sequel
It’s also weird to still think this movie started filming in 2018.
And it actually may do Miles Teller the best since he’s gotten the reputation of being a shithead in the past few years.
That was very good, glad I saw it in Dolby, worth every penny of the $20. The sound and camera work is incredible. Movies like that are why you go to the movies.
Loved what they did with Kilmer. The Mach 10 stuff was awesome. Thought it was perfect until they happened upon the airfield with the F14 basically ready to go that got a little corny but I can live with it. Guy who played Hangman was awesome.
Also Tom Cruise is the fucking man. Guy cares so much about doing it right. I already liked most of his movies and this one is up at the top. Gained an increased appreciation for him when that clip leaked out during Covid basically showing how serious he takes the process.
-Opening montage made me want to jump out of my seat
-Wife cried the entire time
-After the movie, "You're going to be watching Top Gun clips on YouTube all day aren't you?"
-Jennifer Connelly is all time smoke my word
