Like what the hell is in these buildings. (Right side of the road as you leave town). Acquire that and put a gameday welcome center in it.
Columbia blowfish still around and kicking? We had a hell of a rush party there one summer when I was in school. That stadiums a dump though, probs could just move that team to Cocks stadium tbh
College football Freaks List 2023: Bruce Feldman’s rankings, with a true freshman at No. 1 - The Athletic No. 1 freak, we are so #back
What do you guys think about this "jersey retirement" instead of number retirement for Alshon? I agree he deserves the honor. And you don't want to take 1 out of rotation forever. Are we about to see 20 different "retired jerseys"?
Same, but I saw a screenshot w/ a quote from Jody Wright who worked at Bama. "Taller than Julio w/ a Derrick Henry-type build"..."faster than both".
Personally, I prefer the retired numbers, but it does get tough with cycling numbers out permanently. Has to be reserved for truly unique players. The retired jersey thing is fine, but it's basically just a "ring of honor." Calling it a retired jersey is dumb IMO
That would suck. Is contributing to the campaign a good idea? Doubt they raise $250k anyway. I know, how about a local music fundraiser
I was just about to debut with my new group at one of their open mics. Saw they're doing that 7-11 on Mondays right now
Shot in the dark: Anyone have any recommendations for a commercial property management company in Columbia/SC? Need to find one to manage a bank building.
Colliers is probably the largest and most well organized. There are a lot of small companies - Wilson/Kibler, Dial Dunlap, CBRE.
Any experience with any of them? I'd rather not go with Colliers. Rich lady who basically acquired a building in a divorce and needs some more handholding versus a conglomerate.
If you have any money you’d like to waste please waste it on NIL Also, it’s sounding more and more like Juice probably won’t play against UNC
I think this game will come down to who can sack the quarterback the most, but yea not having Juice is not good.
“I expect them both to play,” Beamer said. “Juice was out there. He didn’t practice, practice, but he was out there running around today, catching balls, doing some light jogging. Are they full-go right now? No. Do I expect both of them to play Saturday night? Absolutely.”
I’ve dealt with all of them in different capacities. I develop real estate so mainly through brokerage or leasing negotiations. Robin Dial and his son run Dial Dunlap. Great people. They would be where I would start. Have a conversation with Robin Jr. and he would probably refer you to someone if it was not something he’d be ideal in doing.
Thanks, man. I'm seeing both "Dial, Dunlap & Edwards" and "Dial Real Estate." Seems like the Robins are with the latter, and the two aren't affiliated?
They were partners in the first then left. I know Kathy Edwards as well and she is good too. Either one would be a good place to call. I’d call Wilson Kibler too before you commit. Depends on how much space you have and tenant mix but they may have more options. They are bigger than Dunlap but smaller than Colliers. I know a bunch of brokers and property managers there. George Metts would be a good initial contact.
Dial Law Firm did my mortgage closing. Was also wondering if it was same or different Dials. Dials I worked with were big Gamecock fans
Same family. They are all big Gamecock fans. Side note - moved my son into green quad Saturday. Sending your first kid to college is an experience. I feel old but excited for him.
I've only been once, last fall the weekend of the Tenn game. Never made it when I was in school. Small as fuck, would have loved to see the show I had tickets for, but dinner at Terra took forever and we literally missed the entire set lol.
haven’t listened to 107.5 in years but Heath was always the best of the bunch. a 95 IQ in a 65 IQ business.
Good for you Heath, you were always bound to outgrow us one day. This prob cuts my 107.5 listening from minimal to nil
Beamer’s 3rd year = 1st year of recruits he has invested in for a couple of years. More talent and it will continue to go up in blue chip quality. Year 5 will be very telling of his long-term potential. I think there are too many questions for us to be successful this season. It only takes one weak position group and our schedule will expose us. RBs, DL (edge), LBs, and OL all have a lot of question marks. 7-5 or 8-4 depending on how the UNC game goes. Harbor gets the ball in the first series just to show his speed. Hopefully, a reverse or slant so he has some room to run.
Yea it’s been perplexing to me as the insiders don’t seem confident that Juice and Habor have even been practicing lately. According to the insiders, juice hasn’t practiced all camp. But at the same time Beamer has said that everyone will probably be fine to play. Edit: well apparently Juice will be interviewed tomorrow. I feel like they wouldn’t allow him to interview unless he was going to actually practice. Also, the insider thinks that’s probably a good sign he’ll play. Or that the coaches expect him to play (barring re-injury).
