I’m ready to join the hobby, tell me what turntable, speakers, and receiver (Bluetooth capable) to get. Budget ~1500
Im really happy with my audio technica but I don’t think it’s Bluetooth enabled. Does have the built in pre amp which is nice.
I got the George Harrison All Things Must Pass vinyl early, and today got the Metallica Blacklist set.
I’m gonna start planning for next year already. One of my uncles was a really great singer/musician. He used to sing for us every year at our family reunions and it was always great. The mother/son dance at my wedding was actually his cover of BJ Thomas’ Mama. My mom managed to save some cds of some of his recordings. Gonna contact some places to get some of his recordings pressed onto vinyl for him and for my mom (and me lol).
50% off vinyl at Sound of Vinyl and uDiscover https://thesoundofvinyl.us/ https://www.udiscovermusic.com/
Just got my first turntable setup up and going. I grabbed a copy of J Geils Band's debut album off of Discogs so I could blast it at way too loud of levels for the my album play. That album goes incredibly hard.
Grabbed these two classics today. Sadly they are reissues, not OGs. Have to pause buying expensive ass originals for a little bit lol.
I feel your pain. I love my originals but figured these were good additions to the playlist without breaking the bank…. Until I say fuck it and start shopping for OG presses of them.
Speaking of. What do yall think the best way to check your edition is? I’ve seen people argue for the matrix number (which can be hard as shit to read) and some people say just use the barcode on the cover. Along with that, any better sites than Discogs to look that stuff up on? I can search either of those numbers and get back 5 different editions on Discogs sometimes.
I have not. Want to check out Mutiny Comics, assuming they have vinyl too. Making an assumption it’s similar to Great Escape in Tennessee.
