^ will check this album out despite the fact that you're at least 3rd in line for Roy Williams's I hate this drummer so much with his stupid awesome college band btw, wouldn't even be surprised if I've posted this before, I can't keep track anymore, so many rhymes
Hey. I made my name years ago just been gone for a long time and I was too lazy to come up with another one. This was before I was aware of all the Twitter names and stuff. Mine refers to back in the day when OU had a badass safety named Roy Williams and Texas had a top notch receiver with the same name at the same time. We always referred to our dude as the real one. I guess it’s just a commen name. Anyway, check out that Czar/Doom album. It goes pretty hard if you’re into that type of thing.
Fully aware of the red river Roy Williams rivalry, not aware of the twitter RW's, mostly aware of #1in our hearts Good Ol' Roy Also I am into that stuff and will check it out
Yeah yeah. You guys win championships on the reg. No disrespect to coach Roy Williams. Damnit OU had a great chance in 88 or whatever but Danny Manning had to come and act like Superman and then with Buddy a few years ago but we had no chance against Nova at that point. Sucks because we beat them by like 20 earlier that year.
These are sappy songs. I usually listen to heavy stuff but this guy has serious talent plus he’s a fellow okie and his back up band in these songs plays backup from time to time with my buddy from Norman at local spots. I’ve gotta give him some love.
man, I can't express enough how annoying it is that in this day and age my favorite song from 2017 somehow isn't on youtube yet, here's one of unfortunately only two live versions I've found, and ambiguous ethnicity drummer guy's just having the time of his life back there, which makes me so damn happy Shiggityshwo, your constant supplier of low quality crowd shot live videos
now lost in that bbng, as they may or may not like to be called, feel like this eventual bass jam, slowly building to full band euphoria, epitomizes why I don't necessarily need choruses in my life *look at me*
Goddamn whoever posted colter wall, I want to kiss you on the mouth. That shit is so good. Rip Kate McCannon
Like it or not you have to admit that Mike Patton is a talented and diverse musician. I don’t jam most of the old stuff but I come back to these songs regularly.
These guys used to be crust punks but I guess they just got older and bored with playing heavy stuff so they made a folk band. Good stuff though IMO. I listen to it regularly. They have multiple albums and they’re all pretty good.
I don’t listen to really any country music but I do like this guy. He has an entire album of country versions of Michael Jackson songs which is strange but pretty cool.
the Heat thread inspired me to do a rewatch, which inspired me to look up that one song I love from the chase scene, only to learn that it's actually a Joy Division cover, which normally isn't my cup of tea, but then I stumbled across this live version of the song and it's fantastic, can't get it out of my head now
I had never listened to Steven Wilson's solo stuff until some poster, whose name escapes me, listed an album of his that he felt fit in the "perfect album" thread we had a while back. Long story short, I'm listening to said album now, and went to youtube to find my favorite song from the thing so I could be all like "hey this is the song I'm currently listening to," only to find this sweet ass live version, which is always more fun, so I've decided to post that instead
downloaded a couple of songs off this album back in like 2008 and completely forgot about them since itunes doesn't show the album artwork if you have less than 4 songs, first time listening to this thing as a whole, groovy as a mother funk
One of the most criminally-underrated bands of all time, and one that is especially appealing to fellow musicians. King's X This is their heaviest album and what got me hooked onto them initially. Dug Pinnick is an amazing vocalist, Ty Tabor an incredible guitarist with amazing tone on each album and fantastic songwriting skills, and Jerry Gaskill is the drummer (I guess he's ok). One of the best rock trios ever.
I usually can’t stand much edm at all but these guys always give me nostalgia from when I was younger and hanging out at house parties and backyard bbqs. I still que em up from time to time.
