Given that he’s an evangelical NFL QB, the likelihood of him being a MAGA chud is pretty high. Still, we’ve gotta stop equating people watching that movie with them being qanon. Unless you’re incredibly online, it’s hard to see the jig with that one.
Unless true believer CaneKnight takes part in the mission to #savethechildren it sounds like he could be q as well. Spoiler
Ehh I haven't seen the movie but I think there's a difference in average Fox chud that hears about child trafficking there and the Q weirdos on 8chan or wherever they are now. Both suck but there's a difference imo.
There is no difference. The conspiracy the FNC chud is consuming on that channel wouldve more then likely been started on 8chan or by Q where it inevitably is watered down through various other forms of right wing media (Alex Jones, Rogan, etc) before finding itself on FNC. It's all the same conspiracy
We were discussing the person that would go see the movie, not the conspiracy. The average Fox News viewer hardly knows what Q is but has seen dozens of commercials for that movie and may go see it.
Bama and Fins fans are so lost in the sauce they are defending q anon conspiracies and like each other's posts about it
To be fair we should've known he was a chud POS after Passion of the Christ, but people weren't aware at that time how insanely evil American Christians are.
Nah but unless you know what a wacko Jim Caviezel is or you know about the production company or you’ve been paying attention to the right’s obsession with pedophilia, the shit might not play much different than your standard Hollywood action flick. Like “Taken” with a touch of Catholicism. There’s a significant amount of under 25s across demographics who aren’t MAGA, but have a conspiratorial bend to their worldview, and it seems like this movie has found a bit of an audience amongst them based on what I’ve seen from my socials.
Within my friend group/orbit it is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I don’t doubt it made money and is a terrible movie, just agreeing with Goose and a few others that I still have no clue what it is other than what I’ve read in this thread
Yeah by all accounts it's a very competently made, straightforward action thriller. The director wrote the script in like 2015, and I've seen some interviews about him being pretty dismayed about the discourse around it.
All I need to know: Mel Gibson, Dana White, Elon Musk, Ben Shapiro, Odell Beckham Jr., Tim Tebow and the Family Research Council have all endorsed the film.[62] Donald Trump hosted a special screening of the film at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster on the night of Wednesday, July 19, 2023.[63][64][65]
Probably, but at least Tua for the most part is a private person and not super aggressive about it like Tebow was/is.
I don’t think Tebow was much more in your face about it, I think the media pushed him in our face more because white. Tua certainly isn’t private about his beliefs though
The Tebow family once bought a Super Bowl commercial to promote their church activities so idk man that's pretty in your face.
doesn't appear Tua promoted any summer mission trips, but some of the organizations that have received grants from his organization are a bit weird sounding. there are plenty of normal organizations that have also received grants however. also, Lipscomb just sucks https://www.tuafoundation.org/about/ Grant Recipients BIG OAK RANCH Since 1974, the Ranch has been called to meet the needs of more than 2,000 children by giving them a solid, Christian home and a chance to fulfill God’s plan for their lives. We've grown from a single farmhouse serving five boys to seven ministry teams dedicated to continually improving the standard of care for children who need a chance. As a result, Big Oak has been given an opportunity to advance the mission of loving, long-term, Christian homes nationwide. ALABAMA SHERIFFS YOUTH RANCHES The mission of the Ranches is to provide Christian, family-style residential homes for Alabama's needy school-age young people in an atmosphere where they may grow spiritually and physically into productive, responsible, and happy adults. LIPSCOMB ACADEMY Lipscomb Academy is a premier private, college preparatory, Christian school serving students from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade, located in Nashville, Tennessee, United States.
I'm not much of a fan of Christianity, but it's not a horrible tradeoff if it gets needy kids a roof over their head and a full stomach. that's assuming they're not being abused in any way other than the christian indoctrination.
He didn't just randomly bring it up to push it, he was asked about things he's done with teammates and they'd recently gone to several movies and he mentioned that one among others. (Head Coach Mike McDaniel had mentioned the value of joint practices and getting together as a team. What kind of role do you think you play in just getting the guys together and getting the off-field conversations and getting that bond together?) "Yeah, I think it's really, really good. We had an off day yesterday coming here. Went to dinner with the guys on Monday. And then we also got to go watch a movie yesterday so it was cool. It was like a movie fest yesterday. Just movie hopping. Watched 'Oppenheimer,' that was pretty good. Freaking long. That's a long movie, oh my gosh. 'Sound of Freedom' is good. Yeah, 'Sound of Freedom' is definitely really good. You guys should watch that. Especially you guys with kids. Mike White paid for dinner. I know, exactly. What? (laughter) Yeah, exactly. Yeah. Mike White paid for dinner, the vet."
Pretty funny the goal posts of this thread moved from "not a starting QB" to whatever dumb point bro is trying to make now because he got corncobbed
The thread title is still accurate. Tua is also a weirdo who is imploring people to see a Q anon movie.
