Thats a bit of an overreaction. Traveler was great, his music with the Steeldrivers is great, he still has some pretty good songs and he's a hell of a guitar player imo.
My dad loves Cody Jinks, some days I get a random text saying "out on the porch listening to the Jinkster"

Mike and the moon pies are greatness Steak Night at the Prairie Rose is one of my favorites. Mike wrote it and said its 100% true up to the last verse (because his dad is actually still alive)
i would have been more shocked if they had honored john prine or any of the others who died recently.
I mean I know little about country music but it seems like you need to honor someone so revered in the genre
That’s sad because I promise the bet hip hop awards would honor Nas before they honored 21 savage. Legends are legends man and it’s shameful that the country establishment doesn’t see it that way
When you're an industry filled with jerkoffs wearing sparkly jeans singing ghost written songs how can you pay homage to a guy that wrote Sam Stone, ya know?
They can keep his name out of their mouths as far as I’m concerned. They’re not worthy to mention him
Margo out a live album pieced together from here three day run in 2018. Wooboy are there some jams. I love her band. 6:11 min Ain't Living Long Like This with Sturgill
For any Willie fans there is a new podcast called One By Willie hosted by John Spong where different musicians like Lyle Lovett, Lee Ann Womack, Jack Ingram, and others each have their own episodes where they pick a Willie song and do a deep dive. I’ve particularly enjoyed going further into 1960s pre outlaw Willie since so much of his mythology is around the outlaw years. I particularly enjoyed relearning that ON HIS FIRST ALBUM there was a three stretch song of Hello Walls Funny How Time Slips Away Crazy ! He’s just the best.
huh. I really didn't think Stapleton's album was too bad, and I'm not a huge Stapleton guy myself. might have to give it a more critical listen.
I didn't hate it either. It's not Traveller or among my favorites of the year to be sure, but I didn't think it was awful or anything.
is this ryan bingham in s1? also it didnt take me as long to accept cole hauser in a tough guy role as i expected.
The wife asked me to put together a wish list of some vinyls I'd like for Christmas. Nothing hard to find or expensive as we are saving to buy a house next year. I was thinking some newer release stuff. Any suggestions? I have all of Sturgill's stuff except High Top Mountain. Definitely going to put 1 or 2 Tyler albums on the list. Same with Ryan Bingham. Figured I'd put together a list of maybe like 15 of so and let her pick whichever couple she wants and surprise me.
He was definitely the hard ass of the group, what are you talking about? Obviously Affleck pretended to be, but nah
