I know it is still early in the season, but I'm no tactical genius, but Newcatle might want to commit more guys forward before the 93rd minute.
You guys deserved the points today, but i'd hate to have to watch that style of play every week. so boring and frustrating
Winning doesn't quite cure everything. Still not the best style to watch, but Jarvis and Carroll make it bearable. As much as I have enjoyed this season, I can't stop wondering about the enigma that is next season.
way to go faggots http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...lasts-fans-arrested-vile-songs-Tottenham.html
Can we stab you every week made me laugh. I do find it slightly retarded to go anti-Semite when your owners are Jews.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...r-for-right-to-move-into-Olympic-Stadium.html No shock, but good to see they aren't caving to LLDC's demands.
He def has a release clause. I've heard up to 6 mil. You already stole our best African. Keep your grubby hands off this one.
The entire team is hanging back in the back 1/3 since the 75th minute. Then RVP on the long ball and place is empty. Unfuckingbelievable. At least West Ham showed they can play in Old Trafford.
West Ham drawn against drawn against some Andorran club named FC Lusitanos who plays in a 900 person stadium for the Europa League today, only to play some team from Malta or Armenia in the second round. So the European tour is going to start in some odd places. Got to imagine that some of the young guys like Doneil Henry, Reece Oxford, Reece Burke, Diego Poyet, and Elliott Lee are going to get some serious run in these games. Along, with picking up Pedro Obiang, which I think is a great signing, the Hammers are heavily rumored to pick up Charlie Austin, Alex Song, Dimitri Payet, and as of today, Mousa Dembele. Any thoughts Heavy Mental?
I agree on Pedro, seems like a great addition (better than retaining Song if we only take 1). I think Song might be too expensive for his value, but maybe he was hurt or something when his form fell off. Charlie Austin is a pure poacher, reminds me almost of Nolan in that regard (although they play different positions). Love that we are playing European matches. Great way to send off the Boelyn. I read that we'll have played 11 matches before the first official Premier League game - that's crazy. What do you think of the new kits?
Yeah if I had to choose, I definitely take Obiang over Song, as I think he'll pay more dividends a season or two from now. I like Austin and would like to see Austin with us as he picked up 18 with QPR and I think our mids will be able to get him the ball as good or even better than QPR did. He fits real well into Bilic's system, which uses more of a complete forward and needs a true poacher like him. I also think Valencia will shine more in Bilic's system as well. I really hope we pick up Payet, he'd be a massive playmaker on the wing, which is something that seems to allude us all to often. As for the kit, I actually really like them, which is surprising, since I usually do not like a lot of the stuff that Umbro makes.
I know they were non-traditional, but last season's shirt was fantastic. This year's is about as good as it gets for the traditional look, in my view.
These are a couple of good videos of Payet The move he puts on for the goal at 1:52 in the first video is absolutely filthy, as is his first dribble in the second video. From what I've seen, Payet is a pretty dangerous finisher from the wing, a very good dribbler, and could put in a decent cross. Apparently our bid for him is somewhere between 12-14 million GBP.
Wow, loving these highlights. Seems like he plays with a ton of fire too, which I thought we lacked at times last year. I'm officially excited, hope we land him.
Yeah, everything is saying that we've moved on to Mattia Destro and are prepared to shell out the 15 million GBP, Roma wants. Crazy considering we had 1:5 odds to pick Austin only a matter of days ago in some sports books.
I like him a lot too, appears he can effectively play through the middle as well. Also I think Payet would fit well opposite Downing with his strong right foot.
Yea Newcastle were like 2/1 a week and half ago, then we weren't getting him. Now everyone's saying we're back in and some bookies have them at 2/1 again
Honestly, I have no problem with 1.5 million loan fee for Jenkinson. Was solid for us this past season and the money's worth it if he can mimic his performance from last season.
Money well spent, in my view. He was good for us back there. Fullback might be this team's best position.
Rich Homie Tron, I got a chance to go to the Everton game this year. Had a blast. Green Street is just as I thought it would be. Stadium felt a lot bigger than I expected. Lukaku can eat it, though. That guy scores against us all the time, and hit the winner in the 93rd. He's the bane of my soccer fanship, after knocking the US out of the World Cup last year.
Nice I have always regretted not making more of a case to get to the Boleyn Ground now that it's in its final year. You go to Boleyn Tavern before the match and everything? I feel that a matchday experience there is about as good as it gets. Also the dislike for Lukaku is mutual, for whatever reason he has a ridiculous nose for the goal when he plays us.
Also Payet to West Ham is now a done deal, transfer fee of 12 million GBP and a wage of about 70,000 GBP per week what is going around. Apparently Sunderland are taking this as an opportunity to make a move for Downing, although I feel like the two players would complement each other pretty well. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...nd-look-lure-Stewart-Downing-away-London.html
Apparently the Hammers are close to free transfer with Barcelona to sign Alex Song on a 3-year deal. Incredible piece of business if true.
With the new stadium, if West Ham plays this right, could surpass Spurs while they go into stadium purgatory.
Upton Park had 2 train stops for fans. Apparently the location of the new stadium has somewhere in the neighborhood of 12-15 different stops that are walking distance to the grounds. Ownership (optimistically) has predicted that the majority of games will be sold out (54,000).
Yeah, Barcelona are mostly concerned with dumping him from their wage bill, so they're willing to let him go on a free in order to do so. Our proposed deal with Song would be 3 years and worth 70,000 GBP per week, which I'm cool with. However, the club has shown some commitment, which they hadn't shown in previous seasons. Payet and Song together would be a great coup. Apparently it's coming out too that we're still in the running for Cabaye, which would just be absurd if that happens.
Also, looks like this may be going down as well. Huge off season so far. http://theironscircle.com/2015/06/26/west-ham-close-in-on-monaco-star-aymen-abdennour/
Things are pretty quiet in this regard right now. But what I've heard is that management are pretty set on getting either Remy or Austin, with Demba Ba being 3rd option if those two are unable to be signed. I also saw this today, Abdennour was pretty solid for Monaco this year in Ligue 1 and the Champions League and he's only 25 too. This is kind of surprising since Monaco paid 13 million Euros for Abdennour last summer. West Ham are currently the odds on favorite for him though. I'm also gonna just leave this here...
Alex Song was spotted in London the other day getting treated at Chadwell Health (West Ham's training facility) in what one expects to be a medical. He is rumored to have agreed on personal terms with the club for what looks to be a free transfer. Incredible piece of business if true. However, Abdennour has said he's not interested in West Ham, so the club's moved on chasing after Angelo Ogbonna from Juventus.
http://theironscircle.com/2015/07/06/midfielder-finally-set-to-leave-west-ham/ ___ http://theironscircle.com/2015/07/06/midfielder-determined-to-push-through-move-to-west-ham/ Rich Homie Tron we could indeed land Cabaye. We'd have a sick midfield if that's true. Too bad about Downing, he would have provided great depth.
The best thing about the Ogbonna signing, although I think he'll be very solid for us, is that David Gold tweeted an image of Ogbonna when he announced the signing of Pedro Obiang a month ago.
Haha I saw that, this is the type of shit that makes the premier league so fun to watch. Hilarious; would never happen in an American sports league
