This kid’s dad is the worst. https://amp.tmz.com/2023/06/10/baby-gronk-dad-claps-back-haters-millionaire/
The college coaches gearing him up can fuck off too. Mizzou had him in 3 different uni combos. Eat shit TrustyPatches
Parents living through their kids isn't new obviously but seeing it documented on video for the purpose of making money somehow makes it even worse
I don’t know how I’ve been sheltered by this, posting on a college football board and all, but this is the first I’ve heard of Baby Gronk.
See shit from time to time. Saw LSU got that gymnast to spend time with him while he was there. Arrives to his games in a Lambo. Todays society is the best!
I had seen the name around and I’m cool knowing what people are talking about and now I hope to never hear about it again
The “baby gronk” in my community everyone thought was going to go pro as a combined running back / linebacker / center fielder / starting pitcher / small forward in 6th grade, ended up on a partial D2 baseball scholarship to a local school, and now is a 5’10” dentist
I knew one psycho parent. Would rip ground balls at his kid for hours leading up to the team practice. Who knows how much they really trained on off nights. He got injured, never did anything. His brother played single maybeee AA ball.
There was a parent at the local Pop Warner program that referred to his 6 year old son as his “meal ticket” and said he was “going to the league”. 6 year old son was not very good and was dumb as shit.
Really is a fabulous dynamic Urban offered Danny Clark as a freshman, he committed maybe as a sophomore. Got an Ohio State tattoo. Was clear by his junior year he fucking sucked and Tate Martell took his spot and Danny the prototype turned his Ohio State tattoo into some terrible lion coverup. Went to Kentucky. Tate of course went to like 5 schools and now owns a bullet company and his family spouts maga nonsense. Danny's younger brother(Wall Street) was a tight end we had no interest in and Bama for some reason took him. He transferred to Akron and still neither brother has attempted or caught a pass in college.
Mine was a year too old for our grade. Maxed out as a high school freshman. Ended up getting a D2 football scholarship. Quit his first semester after fucking up his shoulder for the millionth time. At least had real size at 6' 220. He's now a wrestling coach.
There are still sleeper prospects out there but I do wonder with the insanely early recruiting and whatnot how many guys truly slip through the cracks? It's much different than like 10-15 years ago but there are still late rising kids who don't really develop until hs senior year plus the kids who just developed earlier who falter when everyone catches up them. With players from smaller schools being picked off by the best programs in the country (minus Clemson) it's an interesting development, obviously the covid year plays into it but like back in the day seemingly no one transferred from mediocre programs to the elite ones because tthe simple fact is they weren't good enough.
