It would suck to be 11 and at the peak of your athletic career with the whole world watching your decline.
Yep, I grew up with Forte and at this age there was another dude considered better than Matt in little league. Like a year later I'm pretty sure they removed Matt from the league because it had gotten out of hand. He also got cancelled from pitching in our baseball league because he stopped a kids heart (not deliberately). Don't believe the other dude received any significant scholarship offers, etc.
This poor kid, everyone is going to love to watch him fall and it’s not his fault, it’s his dads. I looked him up on tik tok cause I didn’t know about him till a few days ago and now my FY is filled with him. Yes the kid is a very good 10 year old football player but he’s nothing special. Another example of adults ruining youth sports and kids.
I coach my 10 year olds team and there are a handful of kids that absolutely dominate difference is their parents aren't putting them all over social media. One team has Bruce Irving's kid who is an absolute stud on the football field. Fluid athlete. Great leaper and takes tough catch after touch catch. He jumped over one of our shorter kids to intercept a pass. Antonio Brown's kids both play in my kids league. Super nice well adjusted kids. Very average at their age at flag football. Baby Gronk is just big for his age and trains constantly. It will all even out after puberty.
The worst part about these things is that they'll become normalized and become part of the lexicon to where we'll be saying it at some point. I remember thinking "I'll never text lol". I also just realized that's the exact argument chuds making about 'normalizing' LGBTQ people or whatever else they freak out about. Oh No!!! Im a boomer!
You can take some comfort in knowing that not all slang sticks and language is alive, it is always growing/evolving. Cap” currently means “lie” when I was young it meant “to stick up for”.
Between this and the serial killer h00pify continuously calling Livvy Dunne his gf. At what point does she send a cease and desist?
Yeah like how is he considered some crazy athlete? I had no idea who he was a few days ago and I wish I still didn’t. His dad is also 5’6 apparently so what are we even doing here acting and why are colleges treating him like a future 5 star?
I think everyone has stories like this. Even in areas that are known for producing athletes in that sport. 99.9% of them go pro in something other than Sports.
That’s the cringiest thing I’ve seen since Kid Rock’s bud light video. Sucks that this is likely to be pretty common in the future. When all the young people that only aspire to be influencers start having children. What a weird world we live in that social media abuse/exploitation probably needs to be on the CPS checklist.
God I hate customer service. There you go mam. Have a nice day and thank you for reading my shit posts.
Because people like you and me can’t help but comment. Same reason this thread is 4 pages. Clickbait works.
After watching that clip and hearing his Dad speak for the first time I hope this kid is wildly successful and tells his Dad to fuck off when he’s 18.
Just watched that podcast clip. Jesus Christ man, I do feel awful for the kid after seeing that. What a gigantic piece of shit the dad is. Guy needs to not be a father.
I've posted about this before but we had Gronk's seemingly whole family come into one of the clubs one night - they're all fucking huge. They arrived in a party bus and were raging before they had exited the bus.
I’ve got a good looking friend who bumped into him on a beach a few years ago. She had no idea who he was, but thought he looked good in a swimsuit so was initially receptive to him. She said she quickly realized he was one of the dumbest people she’d ever talked to.
One of them should trademark “Gronk” and completely ruin BG’s dad’s branding scheme. I’m sure he’d just switch to Little Kittle or something. But it would at least be obvious to everyone how desperate the man is for clout.
Yea, I think I said it in this thread, maybe a different one. But someone was saying a 6 foot 200 pound man was like an NFL player, and yea, maybe I've been around more nfl players than most, but shorter and smaller than me is not consistent with ncaa d1 players I've been around, let alone actual professionals
I've gotten to hang out with Adrian Peterson a couple times and just saying hello even/hand shake hug situation - you're just like holy shit that's just a pile of muscle.
