Well all 3 points are interesting. I can see him retiring after this group of freshman is done which would be 3 more years but it also wouldn't surprise me to see him going another 5-6 yrs. From listening to all his press conferences plus his podcast plus what Lauren says, I'm pretty sure he's enjoying himself more now than he ever has. In reference to Jalen...I think the odds on favorite for his predecessor is Dani Busboom. Jalen should 1000% be a candidate but I still think Trev does a full round of interviews with multiple candidates. I'd be more than happy with either ftr. (Btw I could talk about this particular topic for hours lol) For the portals/transfer topic. Jalen in particular is a recruiting monster and I think he enjoys it from all accounts. Tbh I don't know what the future will hold on this. I suppose it may become more commonplace.
#Nebraska Cornhuskers your coach is a cornball i would say good game, but honestly it wasn’t. that was an ass kicking so good season y’all were fucking awesome
Again...he literally just stated the facts. If you take offense to it then that's on you. If you're butthurt about it because you think he should be heaping praise on Texas or something then feel free to listen to the rest of the press conference where he congratulates them and credits them multiple times.
Voilà, just like that we've got room for the 2 new recruits. Hayden was the inevitable processing. A bit surprised by Caroline but not shocked. Best of luck to both fine ladies.
Nebraska has as many rings as Texas and has beat Texas twice for a natty. Both are insanely good programs and will be for the foreseeable future.
Top level setter in the portal. Has one year left. Wouldn't be surprised to see her at Wisky as Ashburn was a Sr.
Sounds like she was an alum and had been there for a while too. I’m thrilled but also feel bad for Oregon state/wazzu/etc without a home because their good coaches are gonna keep getting stolen
Burgundy says we’re an oppo from having the greatest roster ever and now one of the evil teams just took the one with the “best swing on the team”.
She wasn't what he's referring to. She's the same position as Merritt in our program and obviously behind her on the depth chart thus why she redshirted. I'm sure she'll do great at PSU but we were always going to see 2 ladies transfer considering we signed 2 recruits in this class yet had no seniors. Had to make room.
OH away. Merrit as an Oppo is handling that spot. Jurevicious wouldn’t see the floor next year. after that though, she gonna be good. Harper was adequate as OH1. Krause/Batenhorst aren’t good enough imo.
We have Charlie Fuerbringer coming in. We shall see. If she's as advertised, she will be the first freshman setter to start for the Badgers since 2017's Sydney Hilley. And before Hilley, Carlini in 2013. That’s pretty good company
Hmmm...gotta think Wisky has more room. I don't see how the scholly numbers would work unless someone was willing to go with straight NIL for a year which I suppose is possible. Also, this...
NIL rules are murky but recently I’ve seen people say that once you’re on scholarship you can’t move to a non-scholly/NIL status. Have to do it from the start of your career. I don’t know if that’s correct, but have seen it come up in recent talks about the football roster.
I would've said the same prior to this last year. Also, ftr...our roster, as it is can absolutely win a Natty. Not sure when you say "missing piece" you mean that or something else.
Our roster is completely stacked, except our OH2 is very below average and we really lack another elite attacking option in several rotations.
Very below average compared to...? The other players on our roster? D1 volleyball as a whole? That's a pretty outrageous statement to make considering even when comparing Ally and a healthy Lindsay to other B1G programs, they are above the average and that's the best conference in the country. Sure, there's room for improvement out of that spot but they're still incredibly talented players.
Bigger blow for bball team but notable for depth purposes nonetheless. Wonder if she's going to try and keep up playing both sports wherever she ends up. That's a tough gig at that level.
