Ok, what are the ones that we should be hoping to find, the rare ones?? Like the Snorlax and Lapras on the 1 gen set.
Gym battling is hard af now. Like someone said earlier, the quick moves aren't that quick anymore. And it seems like the gym defenders were all way better than their cp indicated. Idk. But I got my ass handed to me tonight. Vaporeon wrecked my shit. And also, seems harder to dodge charge moves, especially hydro pump.
legacy moves of note: Dragonite will no longer learn DB, DC, or DP Gyardos will no longer learn Twister Genger will no longer learn Shadow Claw (Gengar might matter now, Shadow Ball got buffed) Exeggutor will no longer learn ZH or Confusion Arcanine will no longer learn Bite, Flamethrower, or Bulldoze some others as well. hard to tell right now whether those are good or bad things but the data will be out eventually. probably a mix of both. there will undoubtedly be stuff we spend a lot of dust and candy on that no longer matters (sorry Lapras folks) but probably a few that might still be good like the legacy Gyardos with the Dragon type moves.
it's a pretty big dickhead currently because quick moves arent so quick anymore and it has killer moves between Pound and ZH for quick and Gleam/HB for charge. they can get up to 3k+, it'll no joke take you half your team to take it down. it's going to drain potions hard.
Now I just have to motivate myself to get after gyms. Need to get the item so I can holler at Steelix (have 110 Onix candy). This thing had better make me feel pretty meh over still not having Gyrados, Lapras, nor Dragonite
OK official Umbreon/Espeon evolution method seems to be: - walk an Eevee 10km - make that Eevee your buddy if it isn't already(this is very important) - hatching during day for Umbreon and at night for Espeon so if you want those that's a 100% chance at them, Vape/Flare/Jolt aren't part of the RNG this way. Think of it as 2 separate ways to evolve Eevee. Walking totals for each pokemon are stored so you can walk something, walk another, and come back to the first and it will still have how much you originally walked it in there so you don't have to make an Eevee your buddy and walk it 10km and evolve it before you de-buddy it, you just have to make sure you re-buddy it before evolving if you want an Esp/Umb.
Anyone know how many km it takes to earn a candy for Onix now? Sitting at 42 and gonna walk it out once my dragonair finishes this 5k (which is ridiculous for 1 candy). Hoping it's not same of Onix and is just 3km.
If anyone finds tables for new egg hatching with 2nd Gen included, and a list of how rare each mon is in this new batch, post please. Like others I have no idea what I should be chasing down immediately if I see on radar or ignoring since common. Currently have a slugma nearby and not sure if I'll ever see one again or not.
Yeah I'm saying I have 42 candy currently and wanna walk the rest but curious how many km it takes to reach each new candy. Most I walk are 3km per candy but dragonair is 5k that I have currently. Curious if Onix takes that much too.
Saw if anyone wants an espeon or umbreon after doing name trick you have to walk the eevee 10km then evolve it. Evo during day and get espeon, Evo during night and get umbreon. Explains why I got like 50 jolteon last night only...
Has there been any proof against getting one of the evolution items a day? Or are they just super rare
here's the gen 2 egg chart. of note: - Pichu, Togepi now 2k - Smoochum, Magby, Elekid now 5k - Tyrogue 5k (he makes Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee) so happy Tyrogue is a 5k. if only I didn't have 8 2k eggs right now. https://pokemongohub.net/generation-2/pokemon-go-generation-ii-egg-chart/
Mareep being a 10 k is pretty funny considering how common he was in the actual game. But Gen 2 has no electric guys worth a shit other than Ampharos
I never played past Gen 1 but I'm kind of enjoying finding new Pokemon/seeing new silhouettes and not knowing what the fuck they are. Probably wont hold my attention long but its sparked some renewed interest in the game
Just wish the percentage of Gen2 to Gen1 weren't so heavily skewed. I thought it'd be a slow drip of finding them, not almost entirely gen2
works once. you'll never replicate that. no. I love not seeing Oddish and Paras and Rattata everywhere. even if all I'm catching are Gen 2's version of those, I welcome the change. very likely this is a boost for a few weeks so people can catch a lot and get acquainted. no confirmation on that but I feel it's highly likely.
I found a Porygon so that was nice, I'm guessing he and Chansey and Onix and Scyther (seeing a lot more Onix than I used to when it was ultra-rare) will have increased spawns now since they matter more for gen 2. also caught this dude. no idea if he's any good but he does come from a 10k egg so I'm calling that a quality rare to catch.
The problem with this Gen is that there's not many 2 evolution guys so you're gonna get a lot of mid-CP tanks like Skarmory, Sneasel and Gligar. Start walking your Mareep and Larvitar when you get them as they'll be big gym guys down the road imo
by the way if you're getting an immediate catch of something after 1 bounce that's called a critical catch. I wondered if it was lag or whatever yesterday but I got like 3 in 4 throws today and it clicked for me what was happening. no clue yet what the rate is or what affects it but it's nice.
Bit and pumped up my storage on both boxes by 200 capacity. I play this game enough that it's a decent investment
Read heracross is region exclusive to South America and south Florida. Is that debunked yet? Caught one earlier and saw a few more on nearby.
Gengar is the god tier attacker now. I just took 2 Haunter's I'd been hanging onto for a long time and made a Hex/Sludge Bomb and Hex/Shadow Ball Gengars out of them for the top 2 movesets in the game. Oh and my other two Gengar with legacy Shadow Claw/Shadow ball movesets are still top 6 as attackers. bow before your new god
Me last night: Wow, I have no clue what is rare and what is common, how will I play this game Me this afternoon: Fuck off Sentret I fucking hate you go away.
I have 600 gastly candy. I've just been using them to level with lucky eggs. Guess I'll be more careful now looking for high IV Gengars
For the record I'm reading up on Ampharos and he's marginally worse that Jolteon. Doesn't seem worth the effort. Only Larvitar is worth your walking time
Slow day at work, I'm just sitting here catching anything that's crossing my path Bayleef Chikorita Chinchou Dunsparce Furret Hoothoot Hoppip Ledyba Mantine Murkrow Natu Remoraid Spinarak Sunkern Teddiursa Wooper
