Okay, so I spent a couple minutes looking through the ruler site. Someone tell me which model I want (thinking the basic carbine, maybe tactical?) http://www.ruger-firearms.com/products/1022/overview.html https://ruger-docs.s3.amazonaws.com/Ruger_Firearms.pdf
I like the xds just want something in 9mm over a 45. Thought while looking i could get people's opinions of others I should look at.
Picked up a Ultradot II for my S&W Model 41. I never use the rings that come with optics so I'll have a different mount tomorrow. Want the $300 Trijicon mount but it sits too high for a handgun.
For a carry pistol its the most comfortable 45 I've shot. I like more weight than the Glock 38. Trigger seemed a little crunchy but it may have just been the pistol I shot.
idk when I pull the trigger on my shield, a bullet comes out TFWIW YMMV You get used to it, but upgrading the trigger is always an option.
I have heard that the Apex trigger upgrade is a must. Factoring that into the cost. This will be my first striker fired gun.
Switched to M&P 9mm a couple of months ago. Swapped out the trigger and sights before I started carrying it. My trusty G21 has been retired to my nightstand.
New K2 grip and stock. Got them both for under 50 with free shipping from optics planet. Grip makes a huge difference over the A2 style
Of course it works! It's just like an Eotech, unlimited eye relief. I absolutely love heavy guns, one of the reasons I buy so many bulky revolvers. Entire ensemble above only weighs 3½ pounds.
I want a Trijicon VCOG but they only make a .308 in 175 grain. I have 1,000+ .308 and not a single box is in 175 grain. WTF Triji? ACOGs are nice but not a fan of their fixed magnification. Anyone run either of these on their pew pew pew?
So I am currently looking at the following for concealed carry: sw shield performance variant, sig p938, hk p30sk, glock 43, xds, Kimber solo. All are chambered in 9mm. I have had an xd and xds previously. What say you?
Drop the Solo from that list, those have had too many issues in the past. Kimber has discontinued the model as well.
Right now after just holding them (couldn't test the trigger due to a lock they wouldn't remove) I am down to the glock and shield. S&w is $60 less. Both will get new sights and triggers.
Stumbled across this little $2,000 gem. 1-4 fixes my ACOG beef, but goddamn it's fucking ugly. Love the reticle!
If the Sig brace works well enough I might pick up one of those to slap on my RR PDS. Has night vision built in too, not that I have any use for that. Low light conditions the rest of the reticle will light up.
One of you mouth breathers mentioned the Burris AR-332 awhile back. Well, if you buy a Burris AR-332 or AR-536 you get a free Burris FastFire III. I know SportOptics has the AR-332 for $314.10 (free shipping), which is a sweet deal for both optics. http://www.sportoptics.com/burris-free-fastfire-promotion.aspx
Can't wait for my Sig brace to get here to see how it'll work with the PDS, ordering the $2,000 optic anyway as my lack of patience is working me over hard. Worst case scenario I'll just buy a new 2k gun to go with my new 2k optic. So much ugly in this thing.
Magpul iPhone 7 and 7+ cases are available from Magpul's website. They have black and od green. https://www.magpul.com/products/organization-and-gear/phone-cases/magpul-field-case-iphone-7-plus
Anyone have an opinion on the Smith & Wesson M&P15-22 Sport .22 LR? Seems like a decent gun at a good price. I am looking to get an AR for shooting and some hunting. Would love to get a few of the ones I've seen in this thread but don't know what they are
