TrustyPatches check out John Moreland srs So here's hoping I can change tomorrow You wanted hard as nails cut and dry But I beg, steal, and borrow I'm so damn good at sorrow And you don't care for me enough to cry
2 songs into diamonds and gasoline and idk if that’s my thing. I like Moreland a lot and I also like Benjamin Tod. I think I like the stuff that leans on the human experience a little more
I made a playlist that runs through many of the names mentioned here, with some classic country peppered in throughout. I update it when I hear something new I like, or remember something I should have added.
I’ll try Noe rn. I’m pretty whatever on Godwin tho. I like what he sings about but the music itself feels too familiar for my taste
Letter to Madeline is incredible. I’ll be Ian Noe’n the rest of the day thanks for all the help boys Capstone 88 you the man
Between the Country is a better album than Country Squire. I don’t take that statement lightly. Letter to Madeline is already an all time song for me
Sturgill hasn't been for me but I love his second album. After Isbell/DBT Bingham was one of the first guys I got into. Still one of my favorites. Not sure if he necessarily fits this thread, also, he might be a sex pervert, but Ryan Adams is amazing. Jacksonville Skyline is an all time great country song in my opinion.
It was pretty wild. He played the shortest headliner set I’ve ever been to at 65 minutes. But every single song was a fastball. Absolutely no filler, so I can’t complain much. I assumed, given his age, he’d sound rough, but he sounded really great and funny as hell.
Snake farm, it just sounds nasty Snake farm, it pretty much is Snake farm, it's a reptile house Snake farm, ugh
TrustyPatches check out Gabe Lee and tell me what you think. Been back and forth on whether or not you'd like it. Alright Ok, Eveline, and Last Country Song are a few of my favorites, but the whole album is enjoyable.
