Also Beemer, the character you liked (Stringer Bell) is one of, if not the best, characters on the entire show.
Gotta talk on a conference call to 500+ at 7am or I might. and that was posted b4, watched it and its nothing special imo, but replace the dude talking with "Stringer Bell" and I bet it kills Obviously I couldn't know that, and if I can pick him out like that it only strengthens my argument that the others aren't that good.
Beemer our friendship was on thin ice during page 3 and part of 4 of this thread, but 5 may have saved it.
I prefer this scene from the Sopranos. Because even though you knew this was coming from the plot, they introduced it in such a brilliant way with the music and tony's depression it was completely shocking and unexpected.
Anyone would have to be stupid to think that SOA is even in the same universe as these others. And I know you aren't stupid. Combine that with the fact you go out of your way to make almost every post about wording, a play on words, or outside the original intention of the thread or post, and I don't believe you.
I don't watch Breaking Bad because Bryan Cranston was the goofy dad on Malcolm in the Middle /beemer post
Omar is the only character that gets close to Walt. The rest are just sniffing farts. I can't believe some of the scenes you guys are holding up as great writing/acting though.
Dean Norris is too minor of an actor, he can't be good as Hank. Average actor at best.... Beemer post
Another thing I don't like about Breaking Bad is that the woman in the show are unbearable to watch. Ugly bitches who do nothing but fuck shit up. Walt and Jesse are good but the rest of the characters kinda suck.
That's the point of their characters. It wouldn't make sense for them to be attractive anyway, given who they're married to.
I just wish such main characters weren't so unbearable to watch. I understand the point of having characters that the audience isn't supposed to like (See Ziggy in The Wire), I just wish those characters didn't take up more than half of the show.
yeah gus is awesome. Not a fan of all of Saul, I think he's too over the top. And i really kinda hate Jesse's "crew"
So fuckin bais. You idiots aren't smart enough to get the difference between wire and bb, both are different shows. Compare different shows if you want to do this. Bb and wire are amazing
just saw mcnulty in Centurion last night. very strange for me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yiQCofKrYAI
SO I just finished BB (watched seasons 2-4 in like 2 weeks) and its awesome. Honestly the 1st season didn't do much for me and I wasn't getting all the hype but I stuck with it and loved it. I'm a huge Wire fan and I still think its the better show but BB is my #2 now. The transformation of Walt is great. And also these shows are very different. To say Walt is better than anyone in the Wire is true but also pointless. He should be. BB is all about Walt and how he goes from a bumbling wanna be criminal to a morally bankrupt, egomaniac criminal capable of harming children to get what he wants. The Wire wasn't about any 1 person but about a city and so you're not going to get as much focus on one character's development. Also the acting on The Wire was great, especially considering that so many of the characters were young, black street kids as its not like there are hundreds of competent 17 yr old black dudes that could sell being Baltimore drug dealers. BB has certainly had better cliff hangers, plot developments and wow moments, but The Wire is a slow burn. I think the last 2 episodes of BB Season 4 were maybe the 2 best back to back episodes I've seen of a show but Season 4 of The Wire is the best season of anything I've ever watched and the most invested I've ever been in a show or individual characters
i just did the same thing oleboy i prefer the wire, but not by a sizable margin. the acting in breaking bad is clearly superior, and the wire had several built-in advantages from the onset. dont understand the hate itt on BB's characters and their development as the series progresses - top notch imo.
Seen two seasons of Breaking Bad and it's really good. Really want to see The Wire but it's not on Netflix watson do you have it on DVD?
A few episodes into the 4th season of Breaking Bad and I'm not sure how this thread was even made. I really like Breaking Bad, probably more than Dexter, but I don't think it's anywhere near as good as The Wire
