What you mean Walt just waltzing in there and blowing up the joint with some shit he whipped up in the kitchen wasn't believable?
I love The Wire and think it's better but if you're going to start arguing over what is and isn't believable all one needs to say is season 5 with the serial killer storyline.
I strongly disliked the end of the last season of BB. The entire kid poisoning and cigarette switch storyline was one big unrealistic leap that the writers conveniently just didn't show in the episode.
It's hilarious how Wire fanboys desperately nitpick at other shows so that nothing could ever surpass what they worship
Season 5 of The Wire was just plain bad and I don't see how anyone could say any different. The first four seasons were all better upon re-watch, but I couldn't even get through 5 without falling asleep during the episodes.
I mean I could understand that about the first couple episodes of season 5, but the second half is fantastic. Outside of the serial killer shit season 5 was great.
If that's so clearly the case then why nitpick Breaking Bad to such an extent? "Oh Breaking Bad sucks because a big drug lord may or may not have had enough guards. Also a chemistry genius used chemistry to his advantage and that's not realistic to me" they're both great, not sure why it's necessary to grasp at straws to find flaws with BB in order to show that The Wire was good.
Rewatched the whole series a few months ago. Got through the first four and the the first few episodes of 5 in a few weeks. Finished season 5 a few weeks ago. Probably skipped a few episodes in there somewhere, too.
