korean food is the best nothing cunty but largely gojuchang marinated pork belly over rice with kimchi and a ton of green onion/sesame seeds with the reduced marinade on top hit the spot
Roasted sweet potato wedges with tahini butter sauce to go with some marinated and grilled chicken thighs
Son, you put that in a bottle and you got something sweeter than yoohoo. Enjoy! And post pics of the finished product.
Already posted in the bbq thread because I was drunk and thought I was posting in here but here it is again anyway.
I was in Napa recently and have been craving a Chappellet Cab Franc ever since. My weekends have been busy so we got a great Tuesday meal. Coffee rubbed steak, summer squash with basil and caprese salad.
"craving a Chappellet Cab Franc." Buddy, every day. Don't even know what this it but I'm sure I'd love it.
Maybe it’s the wine talking, but if you’re ever in Minneapolis and I don’t have plans I will open a bottle over steak.
Stuck mostly to this recipe: https://www.jocooks.com/recipes/lemon-blueberry-yogurt-loaf/ Subbed out the vegetable oil for coconut oil, cut the sugar down to 1/2 C, and did a 1:1 split of lemon zest and grated ginger instead of straight lemon zest
just bought a prime ribeye like this at costco to eat tonight i blame you (how long did you sous vide for? was thinking 2hrs would be sufficient)
Ate this beast today from Fiore’s House of Quality in Hoboken: Fresh mozzarella, roast beef, and garlicky roasted red peppers. This is the sandwich 30 Rock used as the inspiration for the Teamster Sandwich ep. Fucking phenomenal. That’s half of the full sandwich. The toast beef and gravy was good, but I would have been fine without it - the rest was that damn good.
This was today’s lunch, a roast pork, broccoli rabe, and shaved sharp provolone from Paesano’s in Philly:
My favorite sandwich that I’ve ever eaten is roast pork, broccoli rabe, sharp provolone and this just made me extremely jealous.
Lamb chop broiled for ten minutes with fresh rosemary and garlic on top. Served with garlic naan and quinoa with feta. Made this again a few days later and added some yellow curry mix to the lamb. Results were good.
Hah apparently I should have photographed it differently. There was a nice layer of grits with Parmesan cheese and hatch green chilies underneath all that sauce
Nachos with leftover turkey carnitas (an offering from Sprouts that is really quite good) and a diced pork loin chop. They key is not putting any wet ingredients on the nachos and taking your time to build the perfect bite on each chip with the appropriate condiments. Maximum crunchy goodness.
Anyone eaten at Charleston in Baltimore? 6 course with wine tasting menu for $222. Also, any recommendations for restaurants in Baltimore? Doesn't have to be fine dining/expensive, I'm open to anything.
