Yeah I was gonna say something like this. Mcdaniel can’t dupe the Shanahan offense without a consistent run game. They could also use a sure handed zone beating WR opposite Tyreek…basically the opposite of Waddle.
given his relative lack of production and if it’s really bad, it could be an opportunity for Goodell to actually be serious about a suspension for DV
I mean the people who hate Mina are people we ourselves regularly refer to as paste eaters in the Trump thread….
To who? It doesn’t belong to the Texans, they were never the Oilers. We literally were the TN Oilers the first couple years. And yes I know we suck, and yes it’s a petty ass troll to wear them against the Texans. But tough.
It doesn’t belong to that franchise, no. More to the city. Like the Chiefs not stopping Houston from using Texans… But nothing screams oilers like a team in Nashville!!
fun fact, Lamar Hunt absolutely wanted to name the team the Kansas City Texans but was talked out of it he also chose KC because it was an easy private jet commute from Dallas and because the mayor essentially mortgaged the city by guaranteeing season ticket sales that were eventually met by sending guys door to door to sell them
Would Kansas City Texans really be worse than Kansas City Chiefs, though? At least you guys wouldn't be doing that stupid chop.
I would say they are finally hurting Adams pocket cause lots of season ticket holders aren’t renewing for next year. But I’m sure that doesn’t bother a billionaire at all.
aren’t the seat licenses for the new stadium like crazy expensive? I’m guessing that will come for us with a new one too, but really hoping the chiefs grandfather existing season ticket holders somehow given how much money they are poised to get from Kansas or Missouri
The first ones they offered my friend were $70k a seat lol. They are still calling him trying to get him to buy and those seats went on sale like a month or more ago. Everything I’ve seen online is that they are having a lot of issues selling PSLs for the new stadium cause of how expensive they are. Of course the team will never admit it. They were supposed to raise like $350 million of the $840 million the team and NFL committed to from PSL sales. Then the other $500 million is a loan from the NFL I think. It’s absolutely outrageous.
I also heard the entertainment complex around the stadium got axed. Supposedly the 4 or 5 big companies/families that own basically all of the bars on Broadway and downtown Nashville went to the city and put their foot down. That’s all just rumors around town though.
Yup. Someone was telling the boxes are 7 figures now as well. I’m gonna laugh my ass off if they lose money in this shit. But we all know it’s us lowly taxpayers that will lose money on it.
still think it should be him but barnwell made a good case in his voting column for why it is close although the ultimately picked lamar. voter fatigue and lamar’s playoff woes probably play a part too
think there is difference there with lamar losing at home as the 1 seed twice as mvp at least in public perception. and saquon isn’t even really in the discussion
Mays made a good Josh Allen case starting at 1hour 9 min mark. The TLDR was Lamar has thrown to “wide open” players on quick and on rhythm throws 39 percent of the time. League average is 25. There is massive gap between 1 and 2 (Lamar and mahomes). Plus Allen only got sacked 14 times in 17 games Allen’s scrambles have been more positive (epa) than his negative sacks, which is evidently unheard of. Allen’s pressure to sack rate is eight percent, which is the lowest mark in ten years. Allen leads the league in big time throws. and Lamar has the lowest quick pressure rate in football. I think it is extremely tight and voter fatigue will benefit Allen. And some numbers around the edge that show how few negative plays Allen has taken all year.
Lamar Jackson once went against Ryan Tannehill in a playoff game where he had 365 yards passing and 143 yards rushing, and Tannehill had 88 yards passing and 13 yards rushing. Lamar lost 28-12.
Also think part of it is Lamar won it last year (with 49 of 50 votes) while ranking 15th in TD passes, 11th in yards, fifth in rating, etc. Now he has a season where he's at/near the top in a lot of those categories and I think some look at it are like "it didn't have to be those people last year, so why does it have to be Lamar this year?". The arguments for Allen are kind of similar to arguments for Lamar last year. The difference is just that, last year, no QB had a season like Lamar did this year.
Is it normal for the president of football operations to have final say on the roster and not the GM? That’s what the titans are moving to apparently. Admittedly I have never paid a lot of attention to front office systems in the NFL.
