Yup. And the first time you don’t renew the season tickets you lose it. Or if they build a new stadium you lose them. I think the Titans new ones expire after a certain number of years too so even if they are in the same stadium you’ll have to buy new ones at even more outrageous prices.
I wonder how they calculate the average separation. It sticks out to me that QBs on the same team have pretty different numbers there. I suppose if it's only measuring the "openness" of the intended receiver, good decisions from the QB play a role. Not doubting that Allen has some poor separation receivers. That's pretty obvious looking at their roster.
different separation numbers for QBs on the same team could be based on the opposing defenses each QB faced. It could also be that a QB like Anthony Richardson, with his ability to run the ball, assists his skill players in getting separation in a way that Flacco does not
I have a general skepticism for all those types of charts because I just assume it's some intern with no experience barely being paid to chart plays.
Lions ticket prices this year have been absolutely absurd. I don’t think they do PSLs yet tho. As an example, standing room tickets were $99 face value for game 1 and by the end of the season they were $325.
I'm also curious in the sense of what they're charting. Is it only charting separation for the players who receive the targets when they're being targeted? If a guy creates 3 yards of separation but the QB either doesn't throw it to him or the QB throws it too late and that separation is now 1 yard, what is counted? Or if a guy gets open but the QB doesn't throw it to him. Seems like there's a ton of noise there that goes well beyond what a chart like that can show.
Allen’s receivers are awful at getting separation, Shakir is the only one that does it with any consistency
Different teams have different hierarchies, but I don’t know I’ve ever heard of that. Good luck attracting a GM worth a shit.
Basically what every article I’ve read so far has said as well. Apparently the guy is well thought of so just give him the GM title and hire an assistant GM. No GM candidate worth a shit is going to come under this structure.
i know jim is very conservative and was iirc super conservative amongst all coaches, not just playoff ones. i didn't realize john was the same. for some reason, i think of the ravens as an aggressive team that makes analytics-driven decisions.
John was definitely aggressive in his game against the chargers. I recall he had two big fourth down decisions, with one coming at his own 30 yard line or so. Guess he didn’t keep that energy.
Jim has always been very conservative. He also once went for it on 4th and 1 from his own 34 on the opening drive of the second half down 20-17 at OSU in 2022. No one talked about it back then because they got it and FOX almost missed the play entirely because FOX sucks and was doing a replay, but they ended up scoring on that drive to take the lead and I'm not sure they win that game if he hadn't done it. One of the most out of character things he ever did at UM and I am very glad he did.
John has gotten less aggressive over time. He used to rank high on those lists but the last two or three years has been lower. No idea why
Would love to know how many of the Reid attempts that didn’t work were called on to go and one. I’m sure I’m lumping years together, but man do I picture TE runs here.
The Niners are going to cut Hargrave as they navigate cap issues? Halfway into an $84 million dollar deal? No one makes me scratch my head harder than John Lynch.
Mile High Arrowhead Lambeau There are three stadiums in the NFL that have any shred of a soul left and should be preserved. Every AFC North Stadium/AFC South Stadium, NY, Philly, DC, Carolina, Tampa - take the signage down and eliminate the surrounding scenery and you wouldn't know which one you were in. Everything is either a modern dome (which are cool but just different) or the shit built from the late 90's up until Jerry World that are literally all the same. Packers have been able to build a year round attraction around an outdoor stadium that was built prior to the Super Bowl era. Chiefs should do the same.
I've got a feeling Jackson County will give them a bag for one more lease extension before rehabbing Arrowhead won't be cost efficient. Royals end up somewhere in Kansas.
Superdome and Soldier Field too imo newer stadiums that I think have more uniqueness/character than most are Lumen Field and Lucas Oil
It would be a crazy amount of money for him to walk away from, but it's really hard to believe that Brady can be this involved in the day-to-day of the Raiders going forward and continue to do games for FOX at the same time. Beyond the conflict of interest, that just seems stupid if you're the Raiders to turn that much power over to someone who has a side job taking up that much time. It is the Raiders, though. So I guess it's possible.
I want the people who said Sewell sucked after he gave up a sack as a rookie in the preseason to come forward
I think I just have fond memories of it because I was super drunk and then Deuce Vaughn scored right in front of me to go up 10-0 on Bama and then nothing happened after that
Sucks at his job and they only want what they think has rubbed off from spags. You don’t want him. Leave him be.
I’m not well studied on the guy, but it seems he’s done a good job to get a lot out of a defensive front that many expected to fall off a cliff past Jones and Karlaftis.
