i mean they still have Chubb. Are they blaming stefanski for Chubb blowing out his knees? Blaming him for the Watson trade is rough too lol
I think that tweet is a bit misleading because they're going to have to do at least some of those things whether Garrett is traded or not. They're $30M over the projected cap right now.
That Watson contract is going to end up counting against them for a decade at this point trying to spread out the pain of it all long after he's finally out of there. If they have to restructure his deal again, it's going to end up being somewhere in the neighborhood of $50-60M still counting towards the cap in 27-29 to varying degrees in void years.
Still, if there’s one thing that I have learned over the years: there are so many things that are out of your control, but it is how you respond to these things that you will look back on and remember. I have taken so much pride in playing alongside my teammates for the LA community, so thank you for embracing my family and making this such a special place for us. 2024 began with one of the best training camps of my career. Preparations start now for 2025. Highly motivated, as healthy as ever, and looking forward to playing elite football for years to come. Love you guys.. But coming for it all.
i don't know why stefanski is catching flak here. he's been fine. the haslams should be executed at midfield during halftime of our opening home game
He won the first playoff game for the Browns since the 1994 season. Kind of hard to call Stefanski anything other than a success at that point. It's also funny for me to look up the playoff history of teams like the Browns as a Lions' fan. If we're talking about the worst franchises in the Super Bowl era, teams like the Browns, Cardinals, Bengals and Jets have more than earned their place in the conversation. And then you look it up and the Jets have 12 playoff wins and a Super Bowl. The Bengals have 10 playoff wins and went to two Super Bowls. The Cardinals won 7 playoff games and went to a Super Bowl. The Browns have 7 playoff wins. And the Lions have 3 playoff wins, and 2 of them came last year.
I’ve always thought if I go to Australia or wherever it is I go why would I want to go watch an NFL game instead of seeing and doing anything else there is to do while I’m there. Just seems like there would be so much more interesting fun stuff I could be doing versus spending all day watching a game I could be watching on my couch or in person if close enough.
I don’t think the point of these games is to get people to travel to them (from the NFL’s perspective). people certainly do, but the primary objective is to grow a market.
doesnt matter till the team is sold to some shitheel billionaire that just wants to win and not milk the team for profit
You're underestimating her. She did murder her brother to steal control of the organization in the first place
If you go all the way to Australia, you're potentially staying at least a week and maybe two. So you do the football game one day but see all the other stuff while you're there. But yes, it's very dumb
ALLEGEDLY! Facts: Her brother, who was next-in-line to be the Bears owner, suddenly died. She was the executor of his will and devalued his kids' shares. She then took control of the team. They exhumed his body after a while to do a second autopsy but all of his organs were replaced with sawdust so they never could
* “She” didn’t do shit. Maybe now that the old bat is dead we can get a true crime doc on the events. She’s so inept she wasn’t allowed to wear scarves because the family was afraid she’d choke on them. When George named Mugsy his successor he said Virginia wasn’t fit to do anything but be his secretary. That homely thing rubs off and marries a 2 bit lounge singer who owes money to the mob. Halas/Rooney/Bell were so annoyed they hired PI’s to investigate McCaskey and his mob dealings. The mob owned everyone so nothing happened. She becomes George’s secretary, lounge singer gets some fluff title with the team, everything’s fine for a decade. Then George sits everyone down and tells them after Mugsy he wants the team to go to Mugsy’s son and never wants a McCaskey to control his team. Guess what? Whoops, Mugsy has a “mysterious heart attack”. Whoops, the police and medical examiners in the mobs pocket blow the investigation. Whoops, the judges in the mobs pocket say the organs are sawdust, nothing we can do now. Then a handful of years later when George was sick, dementia riddled, and dying he “demands” his will get reworked for “estate tax purposes”. Essentially, Mugsy’s kids were written out completely. Instead of the 51/49 share breakdown between Mugsy/Virginia they gave each grandkid an equal share. Virginia’s only discernible skill is making kids and they had like a dozen so Mugsy’s 2 kids went from 51%->17%. Tons of lawsuits later. The kids are in huge debt from lawyer fees and decide to sell their shares. McCaskeys block the sale at the 11th hour stating they have right of first refusal and buy them at the original price costing the Halas grandkids tens of millions. McCaskeys then turn around and sell those shares to Pat Ryan for a huge profit. Bears have rightfully been absolute shit ever since. McCaskeys first took over in 84 and quickly destroyed the greatest team ever assembled. Hopefully Pat Ryan fucks them over and steals control of the team.
