I bought this because it was on the shelf at Walmart and have liked it. I don't use it often. Maybe when I "clean" up. I've been given beard gift sets at Christmas. My skin and beard hair don't bother me, so Im not picky nor have I ever had a routine to treat my facial hair. Maybe I'm lucky. Never really used it. I use my normal shampoo and conditioner every few days. Or soap and water.
Reading back on my post, I sound like an ass. Do you get a pretty good sweat in each day? I think maybe since I get in at least an hour workout per day, the oils are more prevalent. Just spitballing.
yep, workout regularly and eat a healthy diet complete with good fats, definitely helps but the skin just runs dry for me
So I left my trimmer in a VRBO last week (I think) and its long gone. Is this still the TMB go to beard trimmer?
How'd you end up liking viking compared to grave before shave? I'm liking GBS so far, but wasn't sure if viking was worth the next buy.
took me a bit to figure out how to handle the wacky hair that grows under my jaw but I've finally hit my stride with a nice clean medium-ish beard, don't imagine I'll be going back any time soon
I need to trim my mustache really bad. My VP is from California and he doesn't care, just makes fun of me for those flavor savors.
I'm not sure, honestly. I work remote, so I don't have to talk to many people f2f anymore. Also, I took that picture before I even took of shower - it doesn't look as bad as the picture.
Oh, definitely. I just trimmed it two weeks ago, and I actually just trimmed it after I made the original post. My mustache grows abnormally quick for some reason.
Dang, they have quite a few scents, have you had on you liked more than others? I think I have one that is very woodsy right now and wife hates it. Probably sandalwood type smell.
about the same here, I'll typically hit the neck line twice a week then alternate between a light clean up and full on trim every other week
I went with original and pine. I like original better, but I'll probably try something else next time because they have so many. Saw a bunch of people like the cigar blend. Or you can get a sample of them all on their website for $24. That's probably what I'll do next for giggles.
Another question, I have a decent beard not long but mostly full and shorter than some of yours. Some parts on my cheeks are a tad thinner than others. Any tips? I’ve seen beard growth stuff but I am pretty much dumb when it comes to these types of things.
I read this advice in GQ once -- Natural is always going to look better than overly manicured. I shave a neat line on my throat but my cheeks just grow however DNA intended. Super patchy looks bad but if it's mostly grown in, you probably notice the uneven growth more than others at a glance. You don't want to get all chin strap and have the whole thing shaved into a shape.
Someone on here a couple years back recommend Aveda daily moisturizing oil (dry remedy) and it has changed my life
Brother, my wife just got some makeup that came in a piece of luggage that looks more expensive than anything I own. I'm two steps away from having to use vegetable oil
I’m convinced between makeup and nightly skin care products I’ve got at least $2K worth of feminine upkeep products on my bathroom counter
What's a good safety razor blade? I got the razor just asking about blades. I have a beard but like to use it to shape up the edges is all.
I’ve now gotten into nightly skin care products for my face. neutrogena Hydro boost night cream is a must worth every penny
Feathers were always my preferred before I grew my long beard. Sharpest and most long lasting of the dozen or so brands I used.
Read posts but been seems like old info. Looking for fav beard oils. TIA. Leaning towards Honest Amish classic.
Looking for a new beard wash and conditioner. Have tried a few, but looking for others that might be better. Have used Scotch & Porter and Grave Before Shave. Anyone use one they really like?
Guy at work that formerly had a big beard came in yesterday with it shaved into mustache and mutton chops. Not the right look for me but looked pretty badass on him. One of you with a big beard should try shaving just the chin.
