Let’s play fantasy GM. Going QB is too easy so let’s say, trade from 1 to 5 for NYG 2nd, 2025 1st, and Thibodeaux. Do we think QBs would go 1,2,3 or does MHJ get selected with one of those picks? Hopefully they can take MHJ at 4. Then we probably want to trade down from 5, I don’t know what other top players would be there. But slide a few spots to pick up a 2nd and 3rd or drop to the teens to add more future firsts. DT, C, FS, xTE would all be needs still but there should be plenty of ammunition to draft them and plenty of FA $s to buy them if not. Bring in Johnson/Slowick to see if Justin takes that next step as a pocket passer, if so they’re contenders. If not you have plenty of draft capital to move up and get your guy next year. Then he comes in to a good roster with an offensive minded coach that’s already shown success coaching up QBs. Like I said, after passing on Stroud I don’t see Poles doing the same with Williams/Maye but this scenario is more fun.
Yeah that’s not fun McCarthy, Daniels, Penix, Nix, Sanders. Mel Kiper has Sanders as his #5 overall prospect.
Kiper is a fucking idiot. Maye and Williams go 1 and 2. And I don’t see another QB off the board in the top 10. I’m not sure McCarthy or Sanders declare tbqh. Both have had clunkers to end the season and we’re way overrated to begin with. Nix, Penix and Daniels I think are the candidates to go R1 but I think outside the top 10 due to age.
The Giants aren’t trading Thib plus those picks for 1.1 ideally we should be rooting for our pick to land in the top 3. You take Williams or Maye at 1. You trade down from 1.3 and gather a future 1st, 2nd and other goodies. Then take Nabers from LSU.
If Fields continues to play to this level (thought he was very good today). And the Bears clean house with the coaching staff. We take Maye or Williams at 1… How high of a pick would the Falcons give up to trade for Fields? Would they give up 1.8?
Today JJ proved why he’s not worth the money he’s asking for… The guy never makes big plays. Dropped a pick 6 and dropped another INT. But hey PFF…
Just need the % of attempts that went their direction. The best judge of CB play is measuring the QBs judgment
Someone posted a clip of him destroying Sewell on a rep (I’m not sure Sweat beat Sewell once). Let me look for it.
Are there any websites that track where guys line up? I wonder how many times Walker actually lines up at 3T on passing situations.
They know their going to be fired… it’s why they are trashing players to the media and trying to take blame off themselves.
Jenkins and Wright are studs... Now fix the center spot and I think the OL can be pretty good next season.
The draft is loaded with players at positions of need where the Bears could trade back to... OL: Olu, Alt, Mims DL: Chop, Verse, Newton WR: MHJ, Nabers, Odunze, Coleman CB: Wiggins, Kool Aid
I’m all for taking a qb and if MHJ is gone trading back from 4 to 9-12 and trying to pick up a second and change
After listening to Kurt Warner, Chase Daniel, and Tim Jenkins all go on and on and on about how good Justin played I’m wondering where the tier 2/3 QBs grade out this year. I wouldn’t be opposed to trading down, upgrading the roster, acquiring picks, and taking one of the high upside guys in the 2nd/3rd to sit for a year or two and develop.
That's such a bullshit call... If you're not paying attention to the action then how can you make that call. His facemask is hanging and clear to all who are viewing
Bad throw from Justin. Mooney was wide open... Jenkins looks like his head was jammed, curious if thats neck/back stuff. Probably need a OG and OC in the off-season just can't trust he can stay healthy
I don't know who called more screens... Crowton in 99/00 or Luke in 22/23 Either way the screen game was the "hot" offense in 1998.... so yeah.
It’s so hard to tell if it’s an awful gameplan to run screen after screen. Or if that’s the gameplan bc it’s all Fields can do.
Everything’s getting called on our secondary but Justin’s had a few really long scrambles and nothing
