Get your shit together folks. Big guy has been in Thursday forever. The other guitar player though has not. It’s Norman Brannon from Texas Is The Reason. Smdh. Also, War All The Time is the best Thursday record.
Jet Black New Year is the best song. For the Workforce, Drowning does hit hard when it comes on in the morning as I'm working out then heading into my soulless life sucking corporate job
Just wanted to remind the thread that one hill I’m willing to die on is that Great Romances of the 20th Century was, is and always will be a better song than Cute Without the E.
Saw Hawthorne Heights, Thursday, Anberlin, and Armor for Sleep last week. Had a blast, but the pleasant surprise was Anberlin with Matty Mullins from Memphis May Fire on vocals they were waaaay better with him on the mic.
I can confirm tonight that seeing The Get Up Kids play Something to Write Home About is just incredible. Matt Pryor’s voice is still like it was in the 90s
Hot Mulligan—the best band in the scene right now—just dropped a new single, and it’s fire as always.
Don’t know where else to put this but Matty Mullins from Memphis May Fire is singing for Anberlin now and I saw him with them a couple of months ago and he was GREAT. They just dropped a new single from a music track from 05 that Marty put words to and it is a banger imo.
Stephen didn’t want to tour anymore but is still with the band, so Matty is their touring singer now. Also put out some singles to promote.
My Chem sold out Dodger Stadium so fast they already added a 2nd date (coincidentally the same weekend as Warped Tour out here)
One of my favorite albums of the last 10 years. Just complete magic from start to finish. Really wish this tour was coming to Florida.
I mean it might just be Cute Without the E. Not even my favorite TBS song but it lands the plane on a ton of emo themes and expectations.
Couple that pop into my head: Cap’n Jazz - Little League Mineral - Gloria Sunny Day Real Estate - In Circles American Football - Never Meant The Get Up Kids - A Newfound Interest in Massachusetts Brand New - The Quiet Things that No One Ever Knows Taking Back Sunday - Cute without the E Hawthorne Heights - Ohio is for Lovers Something Corporate - Konstantine
also it bridges the generations of the stuff - I don't meant to speak for all the cap'n jazz/SDRE scenesters but that song hits great still - and I assume connected with the hot topic generation thereafter
