Career .200 hitter Jake Rogers having almost as many hits (2) in the 8 spot as the entire Astros team (3) is not a great development today; he also an RBI and run scored
It’s 130 on a Tuesday. What’s embarrassing is booing Skubal when they were checking to see how f he was injured.
Maybe not hit nearly as hard on replay, only 88.9 mph exit velocity per mlb.com But could’ve used another Tuesday afternoon game 1 walkoff like yordan in 2022
Definitely seems a little odd to me, lefties seem like best approach vs this lineup. Just framber not being sharp didn’t help; 2 of the runners who scored got on via walks and 2 of the RBI singles were by the 8 and 9 hitters w/ ~0.200 BAs. Regardless, it would help quite a bit if Astros tried to score a few runs early tomorrow
I agree. But again, who did you want to go to at the end instead of Heyward? Seems like a tough spot for both Kessinger and Salazar. Regardless of how things go the rest of the way, they need to bring in a better option next year than Meyers as your every day CF and other bench options
Think he knows crane won’t give out a deal over 5 years I think he’s going to be veryyyy disappointed at the deals he’s offered. Going to be 31 when the season starts
Now that Chapman has signed with SF, there really aren’t that many teams that will be in the 3B market and willing to commit huge money and many years…maybe the Red Sox, Mets, and/or Mariners?!? Would be nice to see him back in Houston and I’m sure they’ll make him a decent offer, but also would be shocked if the offer is more than 5 years
He was blocked here for a while…and at least we got a ring that year (and he did, too, since he played exactly one inning for the Astros that year).
