It happened. I wanted to make sure I had it before all the Christmas shoppers got going. Not sure when I’ll get to building it but I’m just stoked to get it. Box is huge/heavy. Also, walking thru/out of the mall with the big LEGO bags is a power move.
Got the ucs landspeeder and led light set for it when they were on sale last week. Looking forward to swearing at myself for not reading instructions
Our place is small. And the gf already isn’t a fan of legos. Hoping I can display on either our bookshelf or liquor cabinet. I’ve had a preposterously huge, tacky trophy from our annual guys golf trip displayed on our bookshelf six months. Hoping I can switch it out for the home alone set.
I always get a little envious when I see someone walking thru the mall with a huge Lego bag. I’d be lying if I didn’t look at picking up the home alone set at the mall just to flex on the kids a bit.
Wife and I have talked about having them, and displaying them, vs the real flowers we can’t keep alive, lol. Edit: not either of these specific sets, just the flowers in general.
Nope, not down with that baby Groot. Let me know when they release a Rocket with the 20 ft tall King Groot at the end of Guardians 3.
40% off a handful of sets at Target, today only https://www.target.com/pl/544175283...0518&afid=Slickdeals_LLC&ref=tgt_adv_xasd0002
Minifig world is wild to me. My aunt found some unopened Spongebob minifig bags, and they're each worth like $5, with one having some recent sales around $20. Wife got the Harry Potter advent calendar. There's some figs selling for $10 from it, which is like a third the cost of the calendar
I forgot to mention my kid saved up and got me this for Xmas. He did it because we went to LegoLand for spring break but that’s way too much for a little guy to spend. https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/tranquil-garden-10315
Completed the Home Alone house a few days before Christmas. Watched the movies while building some of it. Love it. Just need to determine how I will store it until I can display it again next year.
Jealous, got the Home Alone house for my birthday. Next on the list are Rivendell, the new LOTR 2024 and that one.
Wen by the LEGO store while out today and saw a bunch of the large sets assembled. Will be choosing between Gringott’s and Avengers tower for my birthday in April.
Any suggestions for lego tables? My wife bought one a year ago and it has worked fine but I need another one for new sets.
Wait there’s a Lego thread?!!? (Me just now). I really need some sort of bookcase to display my sons endless Minecraft sets. i haven’t done anything too big myself but want the Disney100 film camera one. Not sure if these things drop in price ever
So my daughter is done with her Princess lego sets, and has moved up to the friends sets. What do I do with these castles and such? I don't think I want to put them into the bulk lego bins as they're a lot more specialty pieces and colors. Is it worth re-selling these "as is" sets? I have most everything, but I'm assuming some small pieces have been lost along the way. Box them up in the attic for her kids in 20+ years?
My wife and I have been doing Jigsaw puzzles for over a year and own more than 100 now and it's hard to find good new ones. I told my wife to look at some lego sets because they're kind of like a puzzle. It may have been a mistake. The good news is she's starting with the knock off chinese brand lego. Spoiler: Pics Link to similar cheap sets that are same size as lego.
Grabbed this off the Nextdoor app yesterday. The guy said it was used but complete. Once I got it home I discovered the only bag that wasn’t sealed was the one with the manual and it wasn’t even fully opened. Paid $120
What a freaking find! I’ve browsed Offer Up for sets and my experience has been people trying to sell open/built sets at the literal retail price. And not retired sets- ones that I could pick up right now. I typically send a link to the set on the LEGO website and ask them why I should buy from them.
Need some input. Put all of my kid’s Lego in a container from his table. He doesn’t play with them and won’t any time soon. Thinking heavily about selling them, with dozens of instruction manuals for all of the sets the pieces make. It’s thousands upon thousands of pieces. Thoughts on what you’d ask?
If you go on facebook marketplace, you can find general prices of what people ask/pay per pound. I think I saw something lately of $5-7/lb
I've decided that this year I'm going to get the Eldorado Fortress before it retires, as well as basically any/all Pirate/castle sets I can. the pirate ship 3 for 1 set is on the add list as well.
