Got the Tallneck built. Wife also got me an RGB kit for it. I figured it would just be a strand of lights to put in an encasing or something. No, you take bricks out and put the lights in the build. That’s gonna take a bit longer.
Curious to know how this process went once you're done. I've looked at getting the light set for my ghostbusters car
I got the one for the Batwing for Christmas. Haven't had the heart to pull it down off the wall and start deconstructing.
Welp I officially caught the bug. Snagged the Singapore set at Target. Found out that my grandma/aunt have a couple sets, so they're sending me London and Paris. Got the NYC set for cheap on Offer Up, even though it wasn't really something I was looking for. Looks like Tokyo was retired not too long ago, which sucks. Will look at getting that and Dubai from eBay I guess? The Sydney and Venice sets are expensive as well on the resale market.
No, a third party kit from Amazon. It’s remote controlled Required a fair amount of effort because you disassemble pieces to place the LEDs and hide the wires.
Thread bump reminded me that I still have to do my world map set. I’m off next couple days so maybe I’ll try and knock it out. https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/world-map-31203
X wing complete. Dunno why they didn’t design it to keep the wings open. Next is BD1 my wife helps out and does at least one bag. Can’t wait till our daughter is old enough to join.
Finally installed the lights. Pretty badass. Have to finish hiding the wires a bit better. Traffic light changes pattern. Machine headlamp RGB.
https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/gringotts-wizarding-bank-collectors-edition-76417 This looks legit
I’m on way over my head. Think I’m up to 10 or so architecture sets. Had to go with used sets for some of the older ones since they’re so expensive (Venice, Sydney, Berlin, etc.) Also snagged some modular sets. Boutique Hotel, Bookshop, and Assembly Square.
Came Friday. I’m hesitant to start because once we finish it, the partner will take that as a cue to start decorating for Halloween and it’s still 100 degrees here.
Think I’m going to get the Viking set soon. Target is having circle member week and I can get it for a decent price.
I want the home alone set. Feels like it’s the only set I can get away with displaying in the living room and the gf not getting mad.
Me and the Mrs bought that last year but didn’t get to build due to a move. Going to become a yearly build during December.
The last Lego build I did was this one and it bothers the hell out of me how small Dom's fig is compared to the car.
My 3 yeah old just got some sets. He has them memorized already. Was really cool teaching him how the directions worked and now he just does them own his own. New set he followed the directions all on his own. Probably gonna grab a 6+ set and let him try that with me. Only thing I worry about is he isn’t very good at putting it away and I have a newborn so worried once he starts moving around
Finally got around to finishing the Hogwarts Express. It’s pretty awesome. Has several scenes built into the car with lights and removable sections to see them.
Need opinions. Trying to figure out which big set I want to get next. https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/republic-gunship-75309 Or https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/lion-knights-castle-10305 I feel like the castle is the clear choice, the gunship is just one of my favorite SW ships so it’s making it close
FYI, Kohls is having Bricktober. Lego specials all month. Walmart is about to start some collector con event with LEGO’s involved. And tomorrow/Wednesday is Prime Big Deals day. Happy personal/Christmas shopping.
$90 off Batman https://www.walmart.com/ip/LEGO-DC-...lding-Kit-2-049-Pieces/539334156?athbdg=L1800 $75 off SW Reblic Gunship https://www.walmart.com/ip/LEGO-Sta...r-Home-Decor-Gift-Idea/555061420?athbdg=L1800
Kopped on the last day of double points week. Now I’m trying to find a reasonably priced Parisian Restaurant modular set.
It's such a great set and so cool to display, if you've got a spot to do so properly. It's got a pretty large footprint.
