-Likes Chuck Norris -Likes Chris Pratt too much ...yeah I'm just going down one guy's Facebook right now
I used to do a lot of work for a railroad, and at the rail yards they required you to back into your space as a safety measure. I guess it had to do with orderly departure in a hazmat evacuation or something.
I can understand this, it is quicker/more orderly to leave in the case of a catastrophe happening or something, but you are still doing the same process in reverse as far as the whole parking job. Save an emergency happening, you have saved no time in your life. And even that "time" is kinda mythical
My sisters boyfriends family goes to Disney every year. That seems so boring. Another girl I went to high school with is like that. I will never understand it. I get taking your kids there a few times if you’re really into it but don’t you want them to go see something else and possibly learn something?
It’s pretty standard in construction as well. We always had to back in and leave our trucks unlocked with the keys in them. Think it may be an OSHA thing. Transcanada makes their employees and subcontractors put an orange cone on the hood of their automobiles because they’re supposed to do a vehicle walk around before pulling out of their parking spot.
My buddy worked construction and always left keys in his personal vehicle. Never understood why. Thank you TMB!
Interesting. seems like a measure taken to save time in case some shit happens. If it were more important to them for you to park fast though, they'd tell you to pull in rather than back in because it's faster.
It’s also in case they need to move it and they don’t have to go hunt down whoever’s truck it is. We had to do it constantly when moving mats around the site. It would just take too long to figure would who’s truck it is and where they are working that day to find them to move it.
Good point, most of the girls I've seen them don't have any other visible tattoos. My sister has one and it's only on her foot.
No one is in a hurry parking fast. You gotta be on site at least half an hour before the morning safety meeting so 99% of the people are there early and just eating/sleeping in their trucks before it starts. If you roll up during the meeting late you get one warning then the next they’re ran off, so they are good about getting there early. Edit: if shit actually went bad to the point people had to rush off site everyone would already be dead.
I need clarification on the timeshare portion. My in-Laws own an international timeshare and we used it to stay in some pretty bad ass hotels in Barcelona and Madrid. If I take it over and use it accordingly, am I trashy? TIA user TC.
And not a beeping like a large truck backing up, oh no, but the the horn doing the beeping so I look like some asshole just honking my horn for no reason but for going in reverse.
Seriously, why does the trash fan type always have to go for the shirt/hat that is none of the team's actual uniform colors
Use to train Truck Drivers. Majority of Preventable Incidents happen when backing. Taught them to avoid putting the truck in reverse as much as possible.
Has white stitching on jeans been mentioned? That’s a pretty good indication that a person is trashy.
Same rule for mine sites in the USA and Australia. It's definitely to ensure a quicker evacuation in an emergency situation.
I just automatically assumed they would also be wearing this so never even thought to separate the jeans from the shirt.
Wears t-shirts (Grunt Style or 9-line brand) or military caps commemorating the military even though they never served in it
