In Nashville this weekend for the first time in years. Staying at the Thompson and hit up their rooftop last night which is a cool spot. Pretty good food day today, Little Octupus for breakfast/early brunch, Martins BBQ for lunch and day drinking, and then heading to Kayne Prime for dinner later which I’m pretty excited about. Brunch at Saint Anejo tomorrow before we head out.
Long thread, dnr. Headed to Nashvegas for Vandy game with wife. Staying at Westin. Dinner booked at Kayne Prime. Plan on a brunch at Biscuit Love. What else do I need to know? Better dinner or brunch spot?
they have a 2nd location, but it'll be just as wild. If you want some lower key recommendations, maybe for another morning, I'm sure ppl in here can supply whatever you need to know.
Flight arrives 7 am Friday. What should we do all day besides drink? Hatch Show print tour? Ryman tour?
Marche is better than biscuit love, has a seasonal menu, adjacent to 6 or so other bars (so you can drink while you wait )and there isn’t much of a wait (40 min tops on a busy weekend).
I remeber trying to talk 400 degrees into it. I'm pretty sure she was from Atlanta and was looking into it. Also, I remeber eating at Hattie's B's shortly after it opened. The owner and a marketing guy were sitting down and talking. I just remeber the marketing guy say you don't have the be the first but you can be the best marketed one here. They talked about expansion in Nashville and Atlanta and beyond. I don't think Hattie B's had the best chicken but they are damn sure the most profitable.
https://thebasementnashville.com/ev...sham-s-every-damn-monday-lynyrd-skynyrd-nite/ Sadler Vaden for the 400 Unit is playing this Lynyrd Skynyrd cover show on Monday. $5 advance/$7 at the door
I'm not happy that I will be missing this . Fuck this is gonna be good. Mostly all I listened to on the 4th. Today I got this in
Was there last weekend. Breakfast @ Biscuit Love - Gulch: good not great Dinner @ Husk: Great Lunch @ Boltons Hot Chicken & Fish: Okay Brunch @ Husk: Great Dinner @ Hattie Bs: Good Brunch @ Pinewood Social: Great location, but food was meh
No you’re right. And those idiots that took Bourdain around should have never been his Nashville guides. They knew shit and that chick from The Kills drove like a transplant from New York running red liights and shit not paying any attention. Boo I say. And Pinewood Social is so over rated — the food is trash, and of course they took him there too.
Pinewood all about location. Based on the talent I saw, I’d brunch there every Sunday... but Crema coffee might have been the best thing I tasted there
Eh. Those kinds of girls are copy & paste “hot”; they’re everywhere in Nashville. Just very generic, not my bag but whatever floats that boat.
those guides were awful. They were getting shit no-spice and mild. They had no idea what they were talking about. Awful representation of the worst ppl in East Nash I enjoy Bolton's but the other spots are better.
