Got to see a circle of life moment happen in real time today. Was waiting to pick my son up from school and saw a Red-Tailed Hawk perched on the 2nd floor of the school. All of a sudden it swooped down and grabbed a baby/very small cotton tail rabbit and flew off with it while the mama rabbit chased it for as long as it could. Could hear the baby squealing the whole time
Always badass to watch hawks sitting on power lines around my house. I keep waiting to see one snag a mouse when I’m bush hogging.
I have never heard it called this. We have always called it brush hogging. And everytime i do my land, they snag anything that moves.

Bumble Bee robber fly (no idea if that's the correct term but that's what they're called). Bite isn't pleasant but they usually just hang out for a minute and peace out.
Having people dress up like fish and swim with one of the largest freshwater predators is probably not the best idea.
