Impressive strategy by the eagle. Even more impressive to be able to retrieve it and fly it back up to its nest.
I'd really like to see the that fellas footage, imagine he peed a little when that absolute unit stepped his way
Takes some skill to use that big beak to maneuver those bites into those tiny mouths. She was trying to feed them yesterday afternoon and they weren't quite getting the concept.
Was the bird sleeping? Surprised it survived that long with the “large approaching crocodile… this is fine” instinct
I wouldn't say I'm an overly risk averse person, but I'm probably not surfing here: https://www.yahoo.com/news/surfer-missing-shark-attack-world-142121134.html "A surf board with evidence of bite marks has been recovered from the water... but no surfer has been sighted," reported Australian Associated Press, with police adding: "It is believed the surfer was the victim of a serious shark bite incident. A shark was sighted in the area a short time prior, and beachgoers left the water. According to The Sydney Morning Herald, witnesses described a "massive" shark that attacked in chest-deep water. Multiple people were believed to have witnessed the incident. Emergency personnel are continuing to search the area for the victim. The waters of Western Australia are known for sky-high shark populations, and the region has been called the Shark Attack Capital of the World as a result."
Esperance police Senior Sergeant Chris Taylor called off the search for Payne after viewing drone footage of the attack. “I don’t think there’s much point in utilising all the resources that we have at the moment too much longer,” Taylor said. “It (the drone footage) shows a lot of blood, the shark and some other things in there I don’t particularly want to go into and I don’t think anybody else needs to see other than maybe the coroner and some other experts who will determine the type of shark and size.”
Yeah hopefully that footage doesn't get released. The quote makes me think it took the guys head or limbs or some shit. No way I'd be able to stay calm like some of these surfers do. Edit: of course it won't embed
Feel like I’m obligated to share this every time I read about a shark attack. One of those stories that simply sticks with you.
I count those as the same. I used to have a friend that was into it and a lot of the caves they explored required scuba.
