Not scary, but the Big Bear eagles have two eaglets in their nest. Second one hatched at 3/4 4:29.

at 11:15 am mark they get fed what looks like part of a bird

 

Takes some skill to use that big beak to maneuver those bites into those tiny mouths. She was trying to feed them yesterday afternoon and they weren't quite getting the concept.

"A surf board with evidence of bite marks has been recovered from the water... but no surfer has been sighted," reported Australian Associated Press, with police adding: "It is believed the surfer was the victim of a serious shark bite incident. A shark was sighted in the area a short time prior, and beachgoers left the water.

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, witnesses described a "massive" shark that attacked in chest-deep water. Multiple people were believed to have witnessed the incident. Emergency personnel are continuing to search the area for the victim.

The waters of Western Australia are known for sky-high shark populations, and the region has been called the Shark Attack Capital of the World as a result."

 

Esperance police Senior Sergeant Chris Taylor called off the search for Payne after viewing drone footage of the attack.

“I don’t think there’s much point in utilising all the resources that we have at the moment too much longer,” Taylor said. “It (the drone footage) shows a lot of blood, the shark and some other things in there I don’t particularly want to go into and I don’t think anybody else needs to see other than maybe the coroner and some other experts who will determine the type of shark and size.”

 

Feel like I’m obligated to share this every time I read about a shark attack. One of those stories that simply sticks with you.
