Get a baby breeza. Worth its weight in gold.
Those of you that are the praying kind, please say a prayer for my 2 year old nephew. He just had a seizure and quit breathing. They got him resuscitated but not sure how much damage is done. My little brother was damn near inconsolable. Gonna be a rough Christmas.
Sounds like all of his tests came back fine. They are saying it was a febrile seizure, which is the best possible outcome. Thankful for this news.
That is awesome considering all the other possible diagnoses I am sure. Hopefully your family can still piece together a nice holiday.
My son's Freshman Fall Semester grades just posted tonight.
2 - Pass (Pass/Fail)
3 - A's
High 3 GPA and Dean's List
Merry Christmas to me! Proud as all Hell! Yes, this post is me bragging.
That’s wonderful, congrats
just built two bikes and it only took me 4 beers, this must be what santa feels like every day
A power car just took me 2 hours. I kept telling my wife “eh it’s gotta be mostly put together” I swear they shorted me 2 screws and that consumed me for about 30 minutes alone. Sorry buddy hope 2 screws on each back wheel suffices!
You havent lived until youre still up passed daylight on Christmas morning putting together an LOL Dollhouse
Is his mom like smart or something
Do you know how hard it is to genetically alter monkeys to be blue, sprout wings to fly and do your bidding?
Pick it up, Daddy Rabbit. I put this together earlier today in about 3 hours
Putting me on blast on Christmas morning. I see how you are. One upper. Putting me down.
Fine. Have it your way.
This was me 2 years ago. Was the most excited I've ever seen my daughter for a gift.
My son has been at his fathers so I had a good five days to put together a swing set and trampoline. Can’t wait for him to get home at noon.
my daughter got that last year as well. She loves it so much. When I opened the box to put it together it was kind of overwhelming but not bad once I got started.
Merry Christmas to the best group of dads on the planet. And I told you I was embedded in elf culture.
Check out these elf ears!
Lil man stoked to leave out the goods
Was also able to snap a pic of santa
I see you have decided to dye your ridiculously full beard.
Just got parenting advice from Mr. Feeny. I think I’m ready.
I didn’t even realize there was an elf culture prior to this.
Talking about daycare cost this one made me feel a little better about paying $1,400 a month. Good friend of mine has 3 in daycare right now, said he paid $45,000 this year.
Another nice thing about daycare these days is they really teach the kids. My 4 year old can't read yet but he's pretty damn close. He kinda blows me away with how smart he is. And I know it's not from any of the stuff we do with them. Not to mention how much he loves his friends and the socializing. i feel great about him going to kindergarten in a year and a half.
I would be afraid of how much of that he would miss with a nanny at home. Not to mention how fucked up our house would be if all of us were here plus a nanny. Daycare is definitely worth it for us.
Just wait. It’s incredible the leap they take in kindergarten. I was worried about my 5 year old being behind back in August but he’s excelled this fall.
Agreed. Our daughter isn't even 2 yet and she can hunt for letters on a computer keyboard, move a mouse to click on shit, etc. Wild shit she learns there. It's huge that there is no TV at school either, as that's an easy thing on the weekends here to give us a break. There her mind just churns all day long. She squeals with happiness almost every morning when I turn into the parking lot. It's really nice knowing how much she likes going.
yep. they would be watching a hell of a lot of TV if they were here all day.
I’ve finally gotten less nervous holding and caring for my month old. She’s having some stomach issues. Started her on pepcid this morning. Just ready for her to feel good. Feels so helpless.
Suggested gift for a.tramp to get his wife
Absolutely. Our daycare sent a message last night to toddler parents letting us know that they incorporate ASL, Spanish, and Korean along with English to help the kids learn to communicate. This is really only because one of the teachers speaks Spanish and the other speaks Korean, but a good daycare is valuable.
Recall someone else having a similar issue but all the sudden nearly 3yo is scared to poop and constantly says his booty hurts. After days of not pooping we sat with him in the bathroom for 30 minutes encouraging him to push etc. Was akin to a delivery room and boy did he deliver so much shit.
Ever since it’s the same and he had his first ever poop accident at school. Don’t notice any redness. Hope it’s just a phase and we’ll just keep encouraging but anyone have advice?
Probably me, we had to mix miralax in her drinks, feed more fibrous foods, and just had to wait a while before she finally got more used to pooping on the potty. She would hold it and go in her pull-up at night and refuse to try and go on the potty even though it was obvious she needed to crap.
Yeah ours has been great pooping in the potty. This is very abnormal for him and like I said first time he has really had a poop accident in his shorts to the point daycare was concerned. We're definitely gonna try more fibrous foods but seems there's only so much to do. Thanks.
That sounds similar, she was doing it for a little while then had a long spell where she fought it. Her personality also is very very strong and controlling so that may also have contributed lol.
My daughter was the same way. Would sit on the toilet kicking and screaming and then a smaller, poop version of her would be delivered. I just tried to encourage her to go more often. She would have poop accidents too and blame it on being too busy playing to go to the bathroom. Was a phase and she grew out of it.
So we ended up getting this for our little guy and first day he was a bit nervous in it but he loves it now. Its a god send for in the mornings when I am trying to unload the dishwasher and he needs to be occupied.

Also we started sleep trainning a couple weeks ago using the Ferber Method and damn its been tough, but last night he finally went down within a couple minutes with no crying and slept fairly well through the night. He is 5 1/2 months now, and for the past month he has been going down and sleeping for 6 hours, but then wakes up talking and squirming around almost every hour. Its been brutal.
Got the call that my swimmers are no longer swimming. Feels good
Imaging picking March Madness or the Master's this year of all years to get snipped. I think we're done with one so I really need to get on this.
we are still on the fence about a third. i think it's happening.
We were for sure stopping at 2...then the millisecond she saw the blue for another boy it was “wellll I don’t want to completely rule out 3”
Stomach issues suck; our daughter had a milk protein allergy and bad reflux including Sandifer's syndrome (almost seizure-like reaction). It was a terrifying couple of months until we were able to get it under control. Zantac worked for a bit, then we had to switch to prevacid orally dissolving tablets, which she hated taking.
Good news is she grew out of it around 10 months or so but it was an awful experience and a bunch of medical bills for a gastroenterologist who didn't do much of anything other than tell us to go to CVS and buy prevacid ODT.
Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
My son busted his lip open on the coffee table today. So that was fun. It’s 100% on the inside of his mouth so the doctor said to just let it heal by itself no stitches but damn it looks gnarly.
He’s handling it like a champ. I was just about fit to be tied when it happened and I saw how deep it was. We were originally worried he bit all the way through.
So what about some baby monitors and other things that you didn’t think about at first but looking back are must haves?
Costs nothing and is 10x better than a bulb for suctioning their noses.
Baby sound machine for sleep. We got to the point where we could press the button on that fucker and she would go from crying to asleep in seconds.
